Mu Mingtang had long thought about who the child would look like. After all, they only found out the gender of the baby once it was born. Even so, all the servants said that the child looked like Xie Xuanchen.
When Xie Changan was born, he was stronger than the average newborn. On the day of his third bath, many people came to watch the ceremony, including several ladies from the Xu family. When Xu Wuniang was teasing the child, her finger was grabbed by the toddler and she immediately exclaimed, “Oh, the boy is very strong. He has potential to be a martial arts student.”
Only Mu Mingtang, who had almost anticipated this outcome, sighed with a headache.
Sure enough, this boy looked very much like Xie Xuanchen and his destructive power was astonishing just three months into his birth. Mu Mingtang was so angry at Xie Xuanchen that he scolded him every night when returned, “Look at you, it’s all your fault for being careless. Changan is learning everything from you.”
Xie Xuanchen thought to himself, Changan was the one being disobedient, so why am I the one getting yelled at?
Though, Xie Xuanchen didn’t dare to make Mu Mingtang angry, so he accepted everything he said. Although Mu Mingtang mentioned that the child was playful, she actually loved and spoiled the kid very much. Even Xie Xuanchen would head home as soon as he had free time. If Xie Changan was sleeping, he could watch over the infant silently for a long time.
Both parents were the only childs of their families, so they never had younger siblings to pamper. Now that they have children, everything was so new to them. In the dead of night today, Mu Mingtang sent the wet nurse and servants away before she sat on the couch with the child in her arms with Xie Xuanchen.
Mu Mingtang wore ruby earrings today and this was where they discovered that children like bright colours. When the kid saw the earrings dangling around, he couldn’t help but grab them. Xie Changan’s strength was inferior to Xie Xuanchen’s, but he didn’t know how to control it yet. Once he grabbed something, he wouldn’t let go. He suddenly reached out and grabbed her earring, which put Mu Mingtang in pain.
When Xie Xuanchen saw it, he immediately held Xie Changan’s hand and controlled his strength to open the child’s fingers one by one. After Xie Xuanchen freed her ear from Xie Changan’s hands, he immediately carried the demon away and patted the back of Changan’s hand lightly as the form of a punishment, “Even I cannot bear to touch her, but you dare to bully your mother?”
After Mu Mingtang was freed, she quickly rubbed her earlobe since she could still feel the pain. When she saw Xie Xuanchen patting Xie Changan, she immediately hit Xie Xuanchen unhappily, “What are you doing?”
Xie Xuanchen put the brat down, who was vying for favour with him on the platform, and went over to rub Mu Mingtang’s ears, “I’m teaching him how to get along with his wife in the future.”
After Xie Xuanchen finished rubbing it, he gently blew on his earlobe, “Does it still hurt?”
Mu Mingtang’s ears were sensitive areas, especially around the earlobes. With his sudden breath, it was like a jolt of electricity surged through Mu Mingtang’s back.
“I’m fine. The boy is still here, so no touching.”
“That’s easy,” Xie Xuanchen immediately stood up and handed the child to the wet nurse outside. When he came back, he pressed Mu Mingtang firmly onto the chair, “Now that the child is gone, can I touch you now?”
