Mu Mingtang didn’t expect the beast to appear this quickly upon his will. She hurriedly pushed Xie Xuanchen’s hand, but in the end, he grabbed her wrist, leading her to glance around suspiciously, “There are people around us.”
Xie Xuanchen embraced Mu Mingtang, leaning against the screen as he gestured for her to turn around, “Where are these people that you speak of?”
Mu Mingtang turned her face sideways and sure enough, in the blink of an eye, all the palace servants that were stationed in the inner palace left. She was still struggling to break free from his grasp as she spoke, “It’s still daylight and we both have a big day tomorrow…”
Xie Xuanchen smiled and raised his eyebrows, “All I want is to dress you, what is my Empress thinking about?”
Mu Mingtang looked stunned, unsure about what Xie Xuanchen wanted to do. He didn’t wait for a response and reached out to grip onto her clothes in a familiar manner, “Come, let me help you. Such complicated layers of fabric must have required a lot of help to get into.”
Mu Mingtang subconsciously avoided him but instead, her shoulders were held down by Xie Xuanchen’s hands. His eyebrows moved slightly and there was a hint of danger in his eyes, “If you don’t let me control my strength properly and I tear something by accident, I don’t think anyone is able to make another by tomorrow.”
With that, Mu Mingtang didn’t dare to move any longer. She blushed as her clothes were stripped of her by Xie Xuanchen, letting his touches linger all over her frame. Mu Mingtang originally thought that Xie Xuanchen really wanted to change her clothes, but she later discovered that he never had the intention to help from the start.
Mu Mingtang finally realised that she had been deceived by him again and grabbed his hand angrily, “Where are you touching?”
“We can put on those clothes tomorrow, so let’s do something else today.”
“You bastard, take your hands away!”
Mu Mingtang struggled and as the two of them moved, they accidentally knocked off a set of knee-covers on the clothes hanger. The knee-covers and the jade accessories that donned it fell to the ground with a clear sound.
Mu Mingtang was startled by it and did not dare to move again. Xie Xuanchen looked at the sight in front of him and suddenly felt his blood surge.
Behind Mu Mingtang was a huge screen. Her slender, fair shoulders were leaning against the screen, which made him want to leave marks on it more than paintings of women on tapestries. Next to her were the dignified robes of the Empress, signifying the status of the highest ranking female royal of the country.
And the person who was going to wear that outfit was now doing whatever he wanted, letting him lay his claim as he wished.
The thought was enough to stimulate and arouse Xie Xuanchen, making his eyes light up. Soon, a woman’s gentle sobs came from behind the screen.
They had never tried doing it standing up and Mu Mingtang quickly couldn’t bear it. The worst part of all was the fact that there was a screen behind her, which was why she didn’t dare to lean on the screen fully. If the screen was knocked over… wouldn’t everyone in the palace know what they were doing?
