"Are you going to muddle these waters as well?" he asked.
This statement elicited a cold laugh from Sgranot.
"What if I am?" he rejoined.
Now, whatever could annoy Reiger, Sgranot would gladly do.
So even though Sgranot knew Reiger might now see him as in league with "the Ice Maiden," he did not bother to explain.
After all, his cooperation with "the Ice Maiden" was also to give Reiger a hard time.
Given that, Sgranot didn’t mind kicking Reiger while he was down in the presence of those who annoyed him.
Unfortunately for Sgranot, he was destined to be disappointed.

Reiger’s extended hand was withdrawn at some point, and in turn, he drew his black blade, blocking a down-sweeping ice sword.
The cold girl had swiftly closed in, holding a sword made of pure ice in her hand, chopping down on Reiger’s raised black blade.
The high temperature of the black blade immediately melted the ice, turning the ice sword to water at a visible speed.
The girl looked surprised at this and promptly abandoned the ice sword, leaping backwards.
But when Reiger extended his hand again, the girl, without hesitation, surged forward once more, her hand conjuring a terrifying chill, quickly forming a new ice sword.
This ice sword was more solid and substantial than the previous one, with undulating cold air that was several times stronger, reducing the ambient temperature in its path and lessening the sensation of hot air.
Seeing this, Reiger, who was about to reach out again, had to pull back, squinting his eyes and raising his blade to meet her advance.
The black blade collided with the ice sword, causing intense clashes between heat and cold on their edges, and triggering bursts of air explosions.
"Clang clang clang clang clang clang———"
Reiger and the girl quickly exchanged blows, one producing waves of blade light, the other swirling cold winds, resulting in a burst of blade shadows and sword light.
The sound of sword and blade colliding exploded like firecrackers, mixed with flying sparks and Qi Force, as the young man and woman exchanged hundreds of blows in the blink of an eye.
After a few seconds, amidst a scattering of blade light and sword shadows, the boy and girl, both frustrated in their attacks, simultaneously switched tactics, kicked out, and struck each other’s shoulders, causing both figures to tremble and fly backwards.
Liz’s face changed slightly, and just as she was about to step forward, she was blocked.
The surrounding magic puppets decisively attacked, each bursting forth with ghost-like speed and movements, swooping towards Liz like specters, forcing her to defend herself.
