The flames ignited once again, and Chen Lun caught a fleeting glimpse that made his scalp tingle.
Within the dim range illuminated by the firelight, dozens of creatures called “Didak,” offspring of the Ancient God, surrounded him, and in the deeper darkness where the light failed to reach, countless shadows moved.
Their number was unknowable.
They were of various forms, with not one exactly the same as another…
Some had beak-shaped horns on their heads, like giant stag beetles; others had upper bodies like giant pincer-like mouthparts, towering into the sky; and others wore dazzlingly patterned hemispherical elytra that hypnotized onlookers with their tremors… And even worse, some were covered all over in scythe-like fierce spikes, with bulging muscles.
All the Didak “Insect People” were pale all over, just like Chen Lun’s current appearance.
But they did not regard Chen Lun as “one of their own”; instead, they became even more bloodthirstily frenzied in their pursuit to kill him.
‘Each Didak is stronger than an average Sequence Five… And there are a few that give me a very strong sense of danger, likely already at a High Sequence level.’
