“Nothing… I’m sorry, Arno, I didn’t listen to your advice and left the campfire on my own… It’s also thanks to your rescue that it didn’t turn into a bigger problem.”
He bowed to Arno with a hand on his chest.
This was both a gesture of thanks and a show of respect to a being of high stature.
But Arno didn’t seem to care much, shrugging nonchalantly with a smile:
“Don’t be so formal, I can understand your urgent need to leave, Jack… but the darkness here poses too great a threat to you, and I wouldn’t want to lose a friend like you.”
He turned the meat over in his hand and sighed.
“It’s just too bad, I can’t remember some things anymore, so I can’t help you get back.”
Chen Lun let out a sigh and responded with a smile.
