"Domain of divine light!"
D'andre's voice broke through the silence that prevailed over the place. While he did not place special effort to make his voice loud, the simple power behind them made it reach everyone including Alister, floating far away in the sky, and the survivors watching the battle from below. His voice sounded extremely sinister in the ears of Xandros, who was the closest.
Seconds after his voice spread, a devastating change took place.
Time was still moving at a comical slow pace.
Xandros's hands were still a few centimeters away from attacking D'andre, and Alister was still trying to find the voice to warn his unfortunate younger brother.
Just then, a blinding sphere of light appeared and enveloped Xandros and D'andre, shielding them away from the eyes of the onlookers.
Immediately this took place, time went back to moving at a normal pace.
The blinding sphere of light was stationary as it floated in the sky.
Its glow was extremely bright, on par with the scorching ray of an afternoon soon. The entire area became extremely brighter than they were a few seconds ago.
Alister let out a ground‑vibrating shout.
Dragun had known this white‑haired devil for ages, and he had never seen him this worked up before. Neither had he ever appeared this scared and unfortunate.
He was currently rocketing towards the sphere of light.
He reached it in a matter of seconds, his speed was comparatively faster than D'andre's and Xandros's.
Once he arrived before the sphere of light that had swallowed his brother, he began attacking it.
Powerful dark magics attack were tossed at the sphere.
He even struck it with his own hands seeing that his dark magic could not affect it.
But the results were the same.
As he struck it, explosive sound reverberated across upon collision. It was thunderous and powerful, but still not enough to call off what was happening.
"What sort of magic is that?"
Rowan wondered aloud as he observed what was happening.
For Alister to be this worked up, trying to break the sphere by all means, then it could only mean that it is deadly magic.
Xandros and D'andre found themselves in a new place, a whole new dimension.
The place was made up of nothing but light, it was vast and appears to have no end.
In this endless space of light, both people were greeted with different fates.
Xandros was laying powerlessly on the ground.
A few meters away from him, there was a magnificent throne that shone fought with glorious light.
Seated atop that throne in a casual sitting position was no other than D'andre who was still claded in the beautiful armor of salvation.
The appearance of the white-haired merchant on the magnificent throne was nothing short of godly.
It was a picturesque representation of authority and power. Compared to the powerless figure and appearance of Xandros which spelt nothing but shame and defeat.
The dark mage soon regained his senses as the sudden development of the strange dimension had stolen his sense and memories for a split second.
He cussed out loud as he stood up from his current sleeping position.
He was confused and devastated, what had just happened? Where was he? What did that white haired and annoying bastard do to him??
Why was he in this bright place?
He looked around trying to understand where he was and what was playing out before him and he could not find a single clue. The place did not seem to have an exit or entrance, heck, he couldn't even see the end of this place.
"Beautiful, ain't it?"
The voice of the annoying bastard whose voice he heard before he found himself in this place, sounded behind him.
Xandros eyes widened and he instantly tried chanting a powerful dark magic spell to attack his enemy.
"You, what have you done to me?"
He shouted with anger and frustration, he flung his hands in the direction of the voice, charging his 'Powerful' spell towards him.
But he was quickly bathed with unbelief as the supposed powerful spell came out as a small ball of dark magic. Not only that, the speed and force at which the attack flew, was embarrassingly slow, it was as fast as a normal human being tossing a ball.
The spell did not even cover a good distance before dispersing and vanishing.
Xandros eyes widened in confusion and fright.
He attempted the spell once again and this time, the result was two times more embarrassing than the first time he used it.
He attempted it over and over again for more than ten times before realizing that he was totally fucked — He had been become as powerless as an apprentice mage!
"How does it feel to be powerless?"
The same voice spoke to him once again, this time containing an amused and mocking tone. And it came from behind him, meaning his attacks had been hoarded in an empty direction so far.
Xandros froze with fear and turned his head slowly towards the direction of the voice.
And then, thrills of terror drifted down his spine as his eyes fell upon D'andre sitting on the magnificent light throne, appearing like a war god!
D'andre had his hands on his jaw as he gazed at him with amusement, akin to a predator watching its prey make funny attempts to survive its grasp.
"What do you think about my domain? Magnificent ain't it?"
D'andre spoke with a tone laced with mockery.
He simply wanted to taunt the evil bastard standing in front of him.
Before really hurting him physically, he wanted to break him mentally — Remind him of how it feels to be the one living under the mercy of a more powerful fella.
Make him feel the exact what his victim felt before dying.
Being evil is really cool.
But this statement takes a turn when you become the less evil one.
You realize just how fucked up it is to be under another person's mercy.
"We have all the time in the world in this place, how about we play a game?"
