Qin Qin glanced at Mo Yunchen, then at Deng Zhi, the look in her eyes suggesting to Mo Yunchen to let her go, she had to go save someone.
Mo Yunchen held onto Qin Qin tightly and looked over at Mo Sheng.
Mo Sheng, understanding the cue, quickly lunged at the assailant. His martial skills were impressive, leaving Qin Qin somewhat incredulous. It was her first time seeing Mo Sheng in action, his moves not inferior to those of Zhao Han, direct and decisive, striking the knife-wielding man like a gust of wind, breaking his arm, and then brutally kicking his spine and legs.
Deng Zhi clutched her neck and retreated to her colleagues.
Zhang Yue and a group of police officers looked on in disbelief as the assailant was subdued in less than a minute. By then, Mo Sheng had pinned the man to the ground, the knife nowhere to be found, the man howling in disbelief that he had been caught.

Zhang Yue stepped forward, took out handcuffs, and secured the man, whose struggles were futile.
"Those people deserved to die, I did nothing wrong, why are you arresting me, I’m not in the wrong."
Still claiming his innocence, Qin Qin walked up and kicked the man hard, her voice cold with contempt, "Not wrong? You are the most deserving of death in the world!"
Qin Qin was furious, the thought of those innocent people this man had killed, the horror of the acts, filling her with rage.
Ji Jia was lucky to have narrowly escaped disaster. Had the man discovered her, the consequences would have been unimaginable.
Mo Yunchen’s large hand gently patted Qin Qin’s back, "This kind of person is not worth your anger."
Qin Qin looked at Mo Yunchen and nodded, agreeing that such a person indeed wasn’t worthy, but she couldn’t help it.

Qin Qin snorted disdainfully, not even deeming the man worthy of a glance, "You don’t deserve to know. Have you ever considered whose fault it really was? You did nothing but mooch off your wife, turning a virtuous woman into a wretched ghost of her former self. How could she not leave? You interpret her departure as betrayal, and because of that, you seek revenge on those who treated you poorly. Were their dismissive remarks worth their death?"
She saw much within the assailant’s history—those he killed were merely people who had angered him over trivial matters, only to be cruelly murdered.
The man, filled with hate, tried to charge at Qin Qin, "What do you know? What do you know? You’re talking nonsense, it’s all bullshit, it was that woman who betrayed me, it’s her fault I turned out this way!"
"Unrepentant!" For the first time, Qin Qin felt her chest fill with rage, kicking the man again. Scum like him didn’t deserve to live.
Seeing her anger, Mo Yunchen beside her forcefully kicked the man, his jaw breaking and several teeth flying out, leaving him unable to speak.
"That’s enough, let’s go back." After kicking the man, Mo Yunchen pulled Qin Qin away, not wanting her to stay there any longer.
Qin Qin nodded, not wanting to stay any longer either, and left with Mo Yunchen.
Behind them, Deng Zhi looked at the suspect who had been kicked until his teeth fell out, incapable of speaking, and her mouth twitched, "Captain, how do we explain this?"
