Fu Lixin and a yawning Fu Limei were startled. Who’s leaving? Could it be Su Qing?
"Mom, is it Su Qing who’s leaving? Why does Su Qing have to leave?" Fu Limei was on the verge of tears. Su Qing was her favorite; why would she leave?
Fu Lixin was anxious too. She liked Su Qing a lot, not only because Su Qing had saved her father but also because she was a genuinely good person.
"Mom, please, don’t let Su Qing leave."
Grasping Madam Fu’s hand, Fu Limei pleaded. Madam Fu shook her head after hanging up the phone, "Su Qing is already in a taxi. She’ll be at the airport before too long."
She knew Su Qing would leave one day, but she hadn’t expected it to be so soon. She felt a deep sense of loss.
"What?" Fu Limei released Madam Fu’s hand, quickly took out her phone, and called her brother, Fu Boyann. As soon as he answered, she said, "Brother, Su Qing is leaving. Can you please go after her and bring her back? She’s on her way to the airport. Can you hurry?"
At that time, Fu Boyann was at Li Jingmo’s Jade Creek Garden. Li Jingmo sat in front of him, a picture of desolation since Feng Bai’s disappearance. These past days, he had done nothing but search for Feng Bai and lock himself away, staring at Feng Bai’s possessions, even drinking a considerable amount last night. Murong Shaoyang and Luo Yi were there, too, witnessing Li Jingmo’s disheveled appearance: wearing the same shirt for a full night, stubble on his face, he looked less like the handsome and noble Li Jingmo of usual and more like a vagabond.
The sight made the three of them sigh inwardly. Li Jingmo’s feelings for Feng Bai had grown so deep in such a short time.
"You guys keep an eye on Li Jingmo, I’ll be back shortly," Fu Boyann said after hanging up the call, glancing at Li Jingmo, who was resting his eyes on the couch.
"What’s happened that’s got you in such a rush?" Murong Shaoyang asked, puzzled by the urgency in Fu Boyann’s expression.
"Su Qing is leaving. I need to go see for myself." If he could stop her, of course, he hoped to keep Su Qing from leaving Jingdu City. He didn’t want her to leave.
Li Jingmo, who had been silent all night, opened his eyes and looked at Fu Boyann. His voice was hoarse when he spoke, "I’ll go with you."
Su Qing’s sudden departure—could it be that she was taking Feng Bai with her away from Jingdu City? If so, he had to find out.

Murong Shaoyang said to Li Jingmo, who stood up, quickly changed his clothes, washed up, and followed Fu Boyann out.

Su Qing held her ticket, waiting in the departure lounge. The screen in front of her showed there was half an hour left.
The tense voice of Fu Boyann reached her, and Su Qing looked up to see him running toward her, followed by a somber-looking Li Jingmo.
Su Qing blinked, not expecting Fu Boyann and Li Jingmo to appear there.
Fu Boyann stood in front of Su Qing, eyeing her plane ticket. "Are you really leaving?"
Su Qing hummed in affirmation, and Fu Boyann’s face fell. "Why leave? Aren’t you going to look for your family anymore?"
Su Qing shook her head, looking at Fu Boyann. "Lately, memories of a place keep surfacing in my mind. Maybe I’m not from Jingdu City. So, I want to go there and see if I belong to that place."
Fu Boyann was taken aback. Su Qing might not be from Jingdu City—that would explain her departure.
He didn’t even have the right to ask her to stay. He wanted her to stay for him, but he knew it wasn’t possible. She had rejected him, and he wasn’t in her heart. How could he have the right to keep her?
Li Jingmo watched Su Qing quietly, his expression forlorn.
Before coming here, he had harbored hope that Feng Bai might be with Su Qing. Now, seeing only Su Qing, his heart ached unbearably.
Where on earth was she? Was she doing well? Was she being mistreated by someone?
Looking past Fu Boyann, Su Qing saw Li Jingmo behind him, noticeably more haggard, with redness under his eyes. Was it from a lack of rest?
Could it be because of Feng Bai?
Sensing a ripple in the space around her, Su Qing asked Feng Bai within her, "Feng Bai, if you want to stay, I won’t take you with me."
