Chapter 463: Everything Has a Natural Enemy
The spectators were aghast, as was Kose, whose face turned sour in an instant. To stand still without moving was already peak arrogance, something that top-tier players found very irksome.

“Chairman, don’t be impulsive.”

“Prairie Fire, you’ve crossed the line. This isn’t a game you can play as you please,” roared the vice president of Brilliant Guild.
“Prairie Fire is too arrogant. He’s disrespecting the Devil Alliance. Kose, teach him a lesson.”
With Li Yao packing up Hydra, everybody was in an uproar. It was a shock.
“Ha ha. It’s like he’s asking to die. Facing such a strong player without using pets. You should know most of his combat power came from his pets. Without them, he’s nothing,” sneered White.
Ozawa too was worried but didn’t hold back, “Well, I think the Hunter King’s strength comes from himself. In the early days, he didn’t have strong pets. And remember, he never uses powerful pets when fighting bosses.”
“You’re just being stubborn. Well, I’d like to see how the beauty will run naked,” with these words, White started eyeing Ozawa’s voluptuous figure.
A hint of disgust flashed in Ozawa’s eyes. She replied, “Well then, just wait.”
The bickering between the two commentators was tense, as was the situation downstage.
Li Yao didn’t quite care about what others were saying and directly initiated a duel to the death with Kose.
“I think you’re just a sore loser, trying to give yourself a ladder down. At least if you lose, you have an excuse for not using your full strength. Such a sophisticated mind, such shrewd calculations,” Kose accepted the duel to the death. Li Yao had put away Hydra, leaving him no choice.
“You talk too much. How I fight is my business. Do I need your input?” said Li Yao disdainfully. “Besides, winning is winning, and losing is losing. There’s no point in beating around the bush. The fight has begun. What are you waiting for? Are you waiting for me to attack first so that I break my word and lose?”
“These are your words. I hope you still say the same after your loss.” With these words, Kose charged at Li Yao.
His body was shimmering, enhanced with various buff skills. He was an elite class known as a buff knight, adept at using various buffs to handle many difficult situations.
As Li Yao said, there were no real invincibles in the Ancient Gods.

Of course, it didn’t mean he could defeat the Hydra. After all, the Hydra had several heads, each with various skills. It was these abilities that made it so powerful, allowing it to handle many complex situations and became a top-tier creature.
Li Yao couldn’t be bothered with talking anymore and even put away his bow and arrow. To outsiders, it looked like a blatant disregard for his opponent.
This enraged Kose. He shielded his vital parts and, his warhammer glowing, he charged rapidly at Li Yao.

Some had already concluded that Li Yao would undoubtedly lose this round. The two had gotten too close. Even at this moment, Li Yao didn’t react. A melee squishy class getting close to a melee class only led to one consequence.

In an instant, a massive screen appeared playing back the moment Li Yao pulled the trigger, in slow motion.
As the scene rolled slowly, everyone could clearly see the expressions on the duo’s faces.
The observers then noticed that right after pulling the trigger, Li Yao had put away his gun and crossed his hands behind his back. This showed his immense confidence in the shot.
Kose too looked supremely confident. As the bullet sped towards him, he revealed a victorious smile.
Next, everyone saw clearly what had happened. The bullet hadn’t hit the shield. It felt as if the shield was transparent, and the bullet had gone straight through it.
The bullet penetrated the shield and directly entered Kose’s throat. The slow-motion replay even allowed the audience to see Kose’s throat shattering.
And so, Kose fell while draped in a confident smile…
