Riku’s chest tightened—not from pain this time, but awe. The thought of it was surreal. A Black Shark. One of the deadliest attack helicopters ever designed. And now it belonged to him. Dıscover more novels at 𝔫𝔬𝔳𝔢𝔩~𝕗𝕚𝕣𝕖~𝙣𝙚𝙩

The cockpit HUD schematic rotated before his eyes. He could almost feel the controls, every switch and throttle sequence locked in his head as if he’d trained for years.

"This... this is how I even the odds," Riku muttered. His voice trembled, but his eyes blazed. "You bastards don’t know what’s coming."

Rezvani’s cabin hummed as he leaned back, still aching, but with resolve cutting through the pain. He had the Black Shark. Heavy firepower wasn’t a dream anymore—it was waiting in his inventory, ready to deploy when he needed it.

"Next step, I need to find out where they are," Riku said. Unfortunately, the walkie-talkie in his hand was cracked beyond repair. Wait, he still remembered the frequency, so perhaps he could still contact Hana or his classmates, or the one who took them when they took them.

Thinking that, he went to the Armory Shop and bought a Walkie-Talkie for 500 SP, and he materialized it in his hand.

Riku’s thumb traced the ridged channel dial—exactly the same model as the one he had before, only brand new.

He twisted the dial to the frequency he remembered—the same one he’d set for Hana, Miko, and Suzune when they first set up the supermarket camp. His throat tightened as static filled the cabin, an empty hiss like the breath of a ghost.

"Hana? It’s me—it’s Riku. Do you copy?" His voice cracked as he leaned forward, clutching the device so tightly his knuckles blanched.

He swallowed, adjusted the frequency slightly, and tried again. "Miko? Suzune? Ichika? Please—if you’re out there, answer me!"

Nothing. Just the hollow hiss.

Riku’s teeth ground together. His ribs ached as he leaned back into the driver’s seat, staring at the cracked windshield. Too much time has passed. Six hours... if they were alive, they were dragged far away.

"...—kshhh—... anyone...?"

Riku’s heart skipped. The voice was faint, broken by interference, but it was there. Female. Shaky.

He jerked upright, turning the dial by fractions until the signal steadied. "This is Riku! Who is this? Hana?!"

"...Riku... it’s... M-Miko..." The words were punctuated by sobs, her voice trembling through the static. "They—they took us... not far... convoy... trucks... men with guns... Hana’s with us—"

The transmission broke in a crackle, then returned, weaker. "Hotel Resort...Tokyo..."

"Hotel Resort...Tokyo," Riku repeated. "Are you saying they are taking you to a resort in Tokyo?"

There was no reply, probably due to her concealing that she was in possession of a Walkie-Talkie. But now he knew where they could be, a hotel resort in Tokyo. However, the problem is that there’s too many resorts in Tokyo. He needed more information.

"Miko, if you could hear me," Riku whispered. "I need more information about the resort?"

"Uhm...near...disneyland..."

"Near Disneyland," Riku repeated under his breath, eyes narrowing. His mind instantly drew a map—Tokyo Bay, Urayasu, the sprawling resort complex with hotels that had once been teeming with families and tourists. If these bastards set up base there, it made sense: wide buildings, luxury suites, big kitchens, and layered security. A fortress made from paradise.

Before he could say more, the transmission erupted into chaos.

"—What the hell you got there?!" a man’s voice snarled, rough and angry.

Miko gasped. "No—! Please—!"

There was the sound of scuffling, a sharp crack as if the walkie had been struck from her hands. Riku’s grip tightened on his own, nails digging into the casing.

"Miko! Answer me!" he shouted.

Her scream tore through the static, raw and terrified. "Riku! Don’t—help—!"

"Who do we have here?" The voice came from the same Walkie-Talkie, but this time it was different, it belonged to a man. "Are you his boyfriend?"

"Whoever you are, don’t touch them, or else you’ll fucking regret it!" Riku shouted.

"You have a beautiful girlfriend here my brother, I am sure going to have fun with her."

"You motherfucker! Don’t test me."

"Don’t test you? What can you do huh? I don’t think you know who you are up against. Well, it doesn’t matter. You are not here, and I’m with your girlfriend. I’m going to rail her so hard and put it on speaker for you to hear her moans."

"Shit..." Riku cursed under his breath.

He slammed the walkie down on the dashboard, teeth clenched so hard his jaw creaked.

"You won’t touch them. I swear by everything in me... you won’t lay a finger on them."

But he couldn’t argue over static. Words wouldn’t save them. Firepower would.

Riku yanked open his interface.

[Deploy Ka-50 Black Shark?]

[Warning: Requires 50 × 50 meter open area for safe deployment.]

He looked around. The supermarket’s loading dock was too cramped. Streets were littered with husks of cars and rotting corpses. He needed space, and fast.

His gaze shifted east, past the tilted street signs and half-collapsed buildings. A wide overpass stretched toward the river—a highway bridge, empty of traffic now, long and flat. Perfect.

Riku gritted his teeth, forced the Rezvani’s battered engine back into gear, and floored it. The SUV growled, coughing smoke, but still it surged forward. Zombies that staggered into the lane splattered under the reinforced bumper, reduced to broken bone and gore.

Riku slammed the brakes, the Rezvani screeching to a halt in the middle of the overpass. He climbed out, bloodied but unbroken, and pulled open the system menu.
