Lu Wanwan emerged from the clothing store, and it was still early outside.
She strolled around the commercial district for a while, and as she reached the curb, a black sports car sped up and came to a smooth stop beside her.
Turning her head, she saw Gu Annan sitting in the driver’s seat, not wearing his usual suit and leather shoes but now clad in a set of deep gray casual wear.
Lacking the harsh aura from before, he seemed more leisurely and at ease. The evening sunlight, unblocked, shone directly on him, making his features outstandingly handsome under the interplay of light and shadow.
Lu Wanwan was slightly surprised, as it was rare to see him so casually driving a sports car, indicating he wasn’t planning on continuing work today and had even taken a special trip home to change clothes.

He looked in the direction she pointed, spotting a boutique with a unique style.
"Trying to save money for me?"

"Does it look that good?" she asked, seizing the opportunity.

This had always irked her. Would praising her with a few words knock you off your pedestal and diminish your style?
"Hmm..." His voice sounded a bit forced, and he kept his eyes on the road ahead as he continued to drive.
"What does ’hmm’ mean? If it looks good, say it looks good, if it doesn’t, say it doesn’t."
"Why are you so noisy," Gu Annan murmured, "one compliment and you’re over the moon."
"So, are you saying the clothes look good, or that I look good in them?" Lu Wanwan shamelessly pressed on, leaning on the seat and facing him with the question.
At her question, the corner of his mouth curled slightly, and coincidentally the light turned red, so he stopped the car.
That hint of a smile accelerated Lu Wanwan’s heartbeat.
Then she saw him slowly turn his face towards her, looking at her with a teasing smile, and he said softly, "It would look even better with nothing on."
