Lu Wanwan, holding a tablet and a voice recorder, followed the secretary upstairs.
She was no stranger to the layout of Gu Family’s building, which hadn’t changed largely, even after six years, it was still the same.
As she made her way to his office, Lu Wanwan felt incredibly nervous and couldn’t focus on the interview outline she’d just reviewed.

"Zhao Assistant, this is the person from MG here to interview President Gu."
Zhao Chen nodded casually, "Got it. I’ll take her in. Miss Lu, I didn’t expect it to be you conducting the interview."
Lu Wanwan forced a smile more pained than crying, "Zhao Chen, why don’t you talk to our company, have them send someone else?"
The choice of interviewer was his to demand, of course, he wouldn’t give her this opportunity.

Lu Wanwan sighed internally.

"I didn’t choose to come, I’m just completing the interview for a colleague." Lu Wanwan calmed herself and regained her composure, looking up to meet his gaze, "Mr. Gu, may we start the interview now?"
Gu Annan didn’t respond, toying with a steel pen in his hand.
Out of the corner of her eye, Lu Wanwan’s gaze suddenly widened.
On his pristine desk lay the magazine that had just come from a colleague, featuring the scandal about her, blatantly conspicuous!
Gu Annan had already seen it!
No, he had not only seen it but placed it so directly there!
Lu Wanwan clenched her teeth, realizing that this was not about rescheduling an exclusive interview at all; he had called her here to settle scores in the aftermath.
