"Let her in," he said before hanging up the phone and turning back to look at Lu Wanwan, "Consider it carefully yourself. I have said that I will not allow the Gu Family to become the laughingstock of the public again, and I’m not joking."
Lu Wanwan hadn’t said anything when the office door opened.
Shuman, dressed in a black low-cut short dress, looked somewhat sexy, a style quite different from the elegant ladylike look she sported last time.
But what did that have to do with Lu Wanwan?
She kept her face composed, thinking she just wouldn’t meet Bai Lingyun alone recently. What else could Gu Annan do?
"Big Brother Gu, I didn’t realize you had a guest," Shuman was slightly taken aback as she hadn’t expected someone else to be inside.
This woman looked somewhat familiar, seemingly the one harassed by Director Wei last time.
She had always thought the person being harassed was a minor celebrity, but why would a minor celebrity appear in Gu Annan’s office?
"She’s not really a guest," Lu Wanwan quickly recovered and stepped forward gracefully, extending her hand, "Hello, I’m a reporter from MG, just did an interview with Mr. Gu."
"Hello, we’ve met before," Shuman said, seeing she was a reporter, her face breaking into a perfect, flawless smile, "What a pity we didn’t get to formally meet last time."
Gu Annan only gave the harmonious atmosphere a dismissive glance, "What brings you here?"
Shuman turned her head, "On the eighth is Shao Zhiheng and Xiao Yun’s wedding. Grandmother said to go together with you..."
Lu Wanwan had already moved quickly, sidestepping Shuman.
On hearing her words, her pace slowed down a bit.
"I haven’t chosen the dress for that day yet, and I thought if you’re free," Shuman’s voice was especially gentle, "perhaps we could go together."
Lu Wanwan also recalled that Shao Zhiheng had mentioned last month he was getting married at the beginning of the month and had invited her and Xu Yuan.
She knew Gu Annan would definitely attend, apparently together with this lady.

Lu Wanwan realized he was speaking to her, and though unwilling, she didn’t want to show it in front of Miss Shu.
"Mr. Gu, is there anything else?"
Gu Annan took out two exquisite invitations and stepped forward, "Shao Zhiheng gave these to you."
Shuman was slightly surprised, "You know Mr. Shao too?"
Lu Wanwan accepted them nonchalantly, "Not very well, I just know his ex-girlfriend."
She took the two invitations and left without looking back.
Shuman withdrew her gaze and suddenly noticed a magazine on the desk.
She usually didn’t read such entertainment news, it had just been a casual glance earlier.
She learned from Gu Yunsi that recently that assistant Zhao had been delivering magazines to his office.
Even the change in the style of clothes she wore today was advised by Gu Yunsi, who told her that her cousin might favor a mature and sexy style, but it seemed Gu Annan still didn’t spare her a second glance.

Seeing his expression was not good, Shuman thought it was because of the scandals or maybe he didn’t want her to see them.
"Big Brother Gu, actually, you shouldn’t take past affairs too seriously," she said.
Gu Annan looked up, his eyes cold, his lips slightly parting, "You can go now."
