She thought about the recent scandal that was giving everyone headaches. Wei Cheng was just a director, and as for Xiao Lang, the name alone indicated a close connection to Xiao Ye.
Luckily it was just an interview. Although Xiao Ye’s interviews were rare, they were not such a big deal to her. If it came to that, she could simply turn it down.
It wasn’t until she arrived at the restaurant that she understood why Gu Annan had asked her what time she got off work in the morning, and why he had called her at this time in the afternoon.
Because he had made a reservation for their meal.
She knew this restaurant required advance booking to secure a table, so it couldn’t have been a spontaneous decision.

She and her brother were just children; they couldn’t discipline Mommy. And Uncle Gu, he seemed unable to discipline Mommy, too.

Now, seeing Gu Annan with them, she felt something special.
So with each bite of ice cream, she had no recollection of how much she had eaten.
"Mommy!" Little Youyou, who loved ice cream, seized the opportunity to retaliate, "You broke the rules!"
Little Momo said slowly, "Mommy, you were daydreaming while eating ice cream. Did you forget how much you ate?"
