The scene now was a repeat of three years ago, when he was equally domineering, never caring about her feelings when he wanted to do something.
But now, she was no longer the Titus Zane who let him do as he pleased. They had agreed to owe each other nothing from now on, and besides, her family’s business had remained intact during the three years of her absence. Why should she have to endure such treatment from him?
Humiliation mingled with rage surged from the depths of her heart. Titus Zane fiercely pushed the man in front of her, glaring fiercely at him with her dark eyes, her chest heaving violently with anger.
"Nathan Moore, by what right do you treat me this way?"
The strong physique slightly dodged backwards. Nathan Moore’s tongue slowly swept across his thin lips, then he leaned forward towards Titus Zane. Instinctively, Titus Zane drew back. Nathan’s powerful palm rested on her back, and as he continued to lean in, he almost pressed against Titus Zane’s chest. His thin lips parted slightly, and he spoke in a suppressed voice, "By what right? You tell me, by what right, huh?"
This Nathan Moore looked somewhat dangerous, his black pupils slightly narrowed, emitting a threatening glance.
"Nathan Moore, don’t be ."
Titus Zane shook her head, her hands resting against his chest. Paying no heed to their current posture, she pleaded, if the large palm on her waist moved away, she would end up lying on the ground, "Please, don’t..."
The terrifying images from the past unconsciously surfaced in her mind, relentless nightmares. Titus Zane kept shaking her head, looking at Nathan Moore, her eyes brimming with tears.
"Oh, silly woman." Nathan Moore sighed softly, straightened his chest, and the large hand behind Titus Zane also relaxed its grip. As he straightened up, their chests pressed tightly together, which to an outsider, appeared as though they were hugging.
Some people only realize the value of something after they have lost it,
Some actions are only regretted after they have been carried out.
Just like Nathan Moore at this moment, his heart harbored no previous thoughts of revenge or hatred, only a desire to tightly bind her to his side, not wanting to lose her again.
Because those three years without her were filled with visions of that woman sitting on the floor holding her paintbrush, an image he could not erase from his mind.
If it was a mistake from the beginning, then he was willing to be wrong until the end.
Just like that time after he got drunk, she was buried in his chest, murmuring unconsciously... to live a good life with her, adding Lily, the three of them together, then to have a baby that belonged to the both of them... Although this idea appeared absurd to outsiders, it was exactly what he wished for.
To him, Olivia Zane was like a bundle of sunshine that would never fade, warming and accompanying him for so many years. He would not abandon the lingering feelings and righteousness.
Since she liked to stay by his side, then he would grant her that.
Even though such behaviour was selfish, how else could he act?
Let him be selfish just this once.
He would give all his love, unreservedly, to the woman in his arms, and share some of his affection with Olivia Zane, treating her like he would cherish a sister.
As long as the two sisters were happy, he didn’t care about the outside world’s gaze.
Resting on Nathan Moore’s shoulder, Titus Zane calmed her emotions but did not hurry to leave, because the man’s hand, locked behind her head, prevented her from pulling away.
"Nathan Moore, can you let me go?"
"Stopped crying?" Nathan Moore withdrew slightly, but his large palm still covered the back of Titus Zane’s head.
The eyes so close to hers were tinged with laughter, sparkling and dazzling.
