Stretching out her slender fingers, she swiped the touch screen and Titus Zane held the phone to her ear.
"What’s up?" Two words, with a rising intonation, perhaps a habit developed by her profession. Whenever she communicated, that voice and the corners of her lips would involuntarily carry a flirtatious emotion.
However, when she was alone in her private space, that emotion would naturally become tranquil and her heart would remain as cold as before.
"Have you... gone to sleep?" Nathan Moore’s voice came through the receiver, hesitant and deep. In the quiet night, it was very pleasing to the ear.

Titus Zane’s action to hang up the phone paused, something spreading at the bottom of her heart. Besides her mother, Ariana Evans, the person who called her by her nickname the most was probably Logan Ray.
"Titus Zane, are you listening?" Seeing no response from Titus Zane, Nathan Moore’s voice came through again, cautiously.
"Can you say something? I want to hear your voice."
