"Hey, are you asleep?"
A warm and intoxicating voice came from the receiver, like wine.
Titus Zane hesitated. In his memory, apart from Nathan Moore and Logan Ray, he seemed not to know any other men.
"You forgot about me so quickly." The man’s voice from the receiver carried a laughing tone, and suddenly Titus Zane remembered, this man was... Wesley Foley.
Titus Zane started to apologize, but Wesley’s voice was already like a chess move.
It was just a polite remark, why did he take it seriously?
Not knowing how to continue, he heard Wesley say, "Are you asleep? How about going out for a late-night snack?"
The phone was still against his ear. He blinked. Was this considered a date?
"Hello, did you hear me speaking?" Wesley asked again, not having heard Titus Zane’s voice.
"Oh, I’m listening." Such a good opportunity, how could Titus Zane let it pass.
"So, can you accept my invitation?"
Titus Zane found that Wesley Foley was quite humorous. Even over the phone, he could imagine his smiling lips and warm eyes.
Just now he was standing in front of the bed, now, Titus Zane turned to sit on the bed, his long legs elegantly crossed under the robe, his eyes and brows smiling as he spoke.
"That depends on what you’re treating me to?"
"Western? Chinese? Or, shall we go to a street food stall?"
As soon as Wesley finished speaking, Titus Zane complained discontentedly, "Hey! Who invites someone to a street food stall for a late-night snack!"
Wesley’s pleased laughter came from the receiver, "Can I take that as... you’ve accepted my invitation?"
Titus Zane nodded formally, although Wesley on the other end couldn’t see his face, he still wrinkled his nose, coyly saying, "Hmm, I guess so!"
"Good, get ready, I’ll wait for you in front of the hotel." Wesley softened his laughter, his voice also becoming serious.
"What did you say?" Titus Zane was surprised, just to hear Wesley say, "Is there a problem with my language? I’m in front of the hotel, get dressed and come down immediately."
Without giving Titus Zane a chance to react, Wesley hung up the phone.
Looking at the disconnected phone, Titus Zane couldn’t help but criticize, another arrogant man!
Unconsciously, he thought of Nathan Moore, the same style, always commanding when on the phone, never considering other people’s feelings.
Titus Zane changed into a set of loose clothes, light coffee-colored wide-leg pants, a high-necked wool sweater, draped with a shawl, a piece he seemed to particularly adore.
Brown big wavy hair casually tied behind his head, a few strands naturally falling beside the ears, added an intellectual charm.
Titus Zane chose a pair of low-heeled leather shoes, satisfied with his reflection in the mirror, he then left the room.
A light makeup graced his face, just a thin layer of foundation, his full lips glossed with lip gloss, in a nude color, emitting an enticing gloss.
Walking out the hotel’s grand entrance, a luxurious sports car stopped on the street in front of the doors.
Next to the car, a man leaned against the car body, standing idle.
His figure slim and erect, dressed in dark-colored trench coat and trousers, a cigarette between his fingers, inhaling and exhaling, his phoenix eyes slightly squinting, his handsome face directed towards the hotel entrance.
Under the neon lights, the contours of the man’s handsome face were clearly defined, yet his slightly squinted eyes were as gentle as water.
For a moment, Titus Zane stood transfixed in front of the hotel, forgetting to move.
Dropping the cigarette from his fingers, Wesley’s action of grinding it out under his shoe tip was all so refined.
His lips curved in a warm arc, watching her, he approached step by step, like a prince from the comics.
