Caught in a moment of distraction, her hand felt a warmth; it was Wesley Foley’s hand tightly grasping hers, gently wrapping around it, leading her down the steps in front of the hotel.
Instinctively, Titus Zane turned her gaze to look at the man beside her, gentle and elegant as fine jade.
His palm was warm, not as hard as other men’s, like an artist’s hand—soft and delicate, matching the smile on his face at this moment.
"You’re beautiful." Under the night sky, three simple words spilled from Wesley’s slightly parted lips, soft like the wind, tantalizing to the point of restlessness.
There was an illusion of falling in love, similar to the sweetness she felt years ago when she officially started dating Logan Ray. Yet, this time, the "romance" had a certain purpose behind it.
"Thank you," Titus Zane curved her lips, with a fitting degree of arc—neither flustered nor overly excited, as if everything was just so natural.
With Wesley holding her hand, they walked together to the sports car. He opened the door for her and with one hand protectively above, gallantly helping her into the car.
Wesley also walked around to the driver’s side with a gentlemanly pace, showing no sign of haste.
"Where are we going?" Titus Zane asked, buckling her seatbelt and turning her eyes towards him.

He got out of the car first, then went around to the passenger side again with considerate gentleness, escorting Titus Zane out. He took her hand and quite naturally yet dominantly looped it through his arm.
Titus Zane tilted her head playfully and asked, "Are you always this domineering with women?"

"Heh!" Titus Zane laughed, even her mocking had an inadvertent allure, "What a master of the love game!"
