Under Nicholas Croft’s earnest persuasion, Beatrice Hargrave finally picked up her phone and called Titus Zane.
In Banyan City, inside the CEO’s office, Titus Zane was dressed in an OL professional outfit, in dark colors that contrasted beautifully with her skin.
This was the first time she chose such a dark color. The round neck of her top tightened around the waist, perfectly outlining her voluptuous figure.
The dark-colored skinny pants, perhaps due to her overly slender legs, were slightly short at the ankles, but it only made her straight legs appear even longer.
Black lambskin high heels without any embellishments - yet from the back, the finely embedded rhinestones were dazzling.
Her brown hair was styled in large waves, and a playful lock was pinned behind her ear, adding an extra touch of allure.
She wore plain glasses on her nose, but they could not hide her deeply western-style eyes, especially the curled lashes behind the lenses, which flickered unintentionally, exuding charm.
Her full lips were coated with light nude lip gloss, a natural color shimmering with tempting luster.
One had to admit, Titus Zane’s skin was truly flawless, even her exposed neck was whiter than snow.
Holding a clipboard, she reported Wesley Foley’s agenda for the day, closed it, and was about to leave when Wesley Foley stopped her.
"President, is there anything else you need?"
What reassured Titus Zane the most was that at the company, Wesley Foley was a competent leader, not the man who treated her with tender care.
Indeed, as now, his handsome face no longer soft, replaced by the seriousness of a leader.
"Prepare the materials, we’re going together to the institute this afternoon."
"Yes, President." Titus Zane was also business-like, nodding slightly, "If there’s nothing else, I’ll leave now."
When those words fell, Wesley Foley had already buried his head in work at his desk.
As she walked out of the office, under the obviously jealous gazes of the secretary, Titus Zane held her clipboard under her chin and strode towards her own office, not straying her gaze, ignoring those who were hostile towards her, and certainly not trying to please them.
After all, it wasn’t going to last long, just needing Wesley Foley’s trust was enough.
Speaking of which, her job really was leisurely, earning an assistant’s salary while doing the secretary’s work. Ever since Titus Zane joined the company, even bringing coffee to the President had been entrusted to her, of course, that was the President’s decision.
No wonder Wesley Foley’s secretary was jealous.
Back in her office, she had just closed the door when her phone, which hung in front of her chest, began to ring.
After putting the clipboard down, she grabbed her phone and looked at the caller ID before answering the call.
"Hello, Sister Titus, it’s Beatrice!" Beatrice’s cheerful voice came through the phone.
Titus Zane curled her lips, her European-style eyes even smiling.
"I know." Titus Zane had just spoken three words when Beatrice’s complaints started to come through,
"Sister Titus, where have you been? You haven’t called me, I’ve been so bored to death."
"How could that be, you have so many announcements to catch up on,"
"It’s because of rushing for announcements that I feel bored, flying around all day makes me so tired!" Over the phone, Beatrice continued to complain, while Titus Zane kept her lips curved, being a listener.
Just when she was about to say a few comforting words, she heard Beatrice say, "Sister Titus, where are you now? Maybe my next announcement will fly to your city, then we can meet up, have a meal together, and drink some milk tea."
