In the past, she had to hide and live in secrecy as the woman who mustn’t be seen, but now, she could walk proudly in the sunlight, no longer needing to hide, and besides, ever since she moved to T City, Oliver Shaw would have dinner at her place every day before returning home. Even though he wouldn’t spend the night, they no longer had to live apart.
Felix Shaw’s peach-blossom eyes narrowed, and he threatened, "Aren’t you afraid I’ll forcibly drive you and your daughter out of T City?"
But Vanessa Armstrong raised an eyebrow and softly scoffed, "You’re welcome to try."
Last night Oliver Shaw had called to comfort her, telling her not to worry and that no one could hurt her and her daughter. With Oliver Shaw on her side, what was there to worry about?

The negotiation came to nothing in the end. After Vanessa Armstrong and her daughter left, Felix Shaw sat in his chair alone, gazing out of the window and sighing helplessly.
