Seeing that Felix Shaw didn’t raise his glass with the others, Director Chen chuckled and said, "Elizabeth, don’t you have any sense? Pour some tea and toast Director Shaw with it instead of wine."
Elizabeth White smiled slightly and had just picked up the teapot when Felix spoke from a seat over, "No need, I still have some matters to attend to. Please excuse me, you all continue."

At the VIP floor of the Hyde Park Hotel, Elizabeth carefully adjusted herself before pressing the doorbell.
The door opened, revealing Felix in a hotel bathrobe, holding a glass of red wine in one hand and the door handle in the other. He had just showered; his short hair was still damp, several strands falling sexily across his forehead, with the robe’s open collar exposing most of his muscular chest, still glistening faintly with water droplets.
Instinctively licking her lips, Elizabeth’s eyes were fixed on Felix from the moment the door opened.
"Come in." With those indifferent words, Elizabeth snapped back to reality, chuckling softly. Her innocent face looked very cute when she smiled.
But Felix found it repulsive, his brow furrowing almost imperceptibly. He turned and went back to the small lounge, sitting on the sofa.
"Felix..." Once the door was closed, Elizabeth pouted and acted coquettishly. Felix calling her over at this time could only mean one thing. She sat beside him, one hand on his arm, while under his unclear gaze, the fingertips of her other hand landed on his exposed chest. Her nails lightly traced downward, sweeping over his pectoral muscles and stopping above his abdomen, swirling slowly.
Looking at Felix, her pink lips gently bit, eyebrows carrying grievance, "Why haven’t you paid attention to me for so long?"
With a sigh, Felix grabbed Elizabeth’s wandering hand on his abdomen, his cool gaze fixed on her as he asked, "Was the child you lost before really mine?"

She didn’t expect him to bring this up, staring at him in a daze, unable to react before Felix spoke again, "Answer me."
Two words, severe and devoid of warmth.
Elizabeth’s face suddenly turned sorrowful, tears welling up, "Felix, how can you doubt me? I’ve been with you for so long, could the child be someone else’s..."
"Ha, that’s not for certain!" With a cold laugh, Felix leisurely took a sip of his red wine.
"Felix?"
Elizabeth felt even more aggrieved, clutching Felix’s arm with both hands, pouting as she cried, "How can you do this? You can look down on me, you can leave me, but how can you insult me?"
Whether Elizabeth was a natural drama queen or just accustomed to acting, her tearful, grievance-filled demeanor would make anyone unaware think she was deeply wronged. But Felix had already seen through her true nature, and thus, he would no longer be fooled or softened by her.
He immediately pushed her away impatiently, his gaze fierce as he said sharply, "Elizabeth White, I already know everything! Do you still want to act in front of me?"
In his fury, Felix’s strength was considerable, and Elizabeth stumbled to the floor, propping herself up on the carpet. Tears still streaked her face as she met Felix’s stern gaze, tentatively asking, "What... do you know?"
