"Ha, know what?" Felix Shaw looked down at the woman collapsed on the ground, his heart not moving in the slightest, lips curling into a cold sneer. Suddenly his handsome face moved closer, and the sudden movement made Elizabeth White instinctively shrink back.
Felix Shaw gave her no chance to escape, raising his hand, his slender fingers pinching her chin and pulling her back, his peach blossom eyes harboring a clear coldness, each icy word spat from his thin lips.
"Elizabeth, do you think you’ve covered it up perfectly? Pregnant with someone else’s seed and still daring to use that bastard to frame my wife,"
"No, Felix, I didn’t, the child is yours, it really is yours," Elizabeth White kept shaking her head, without concrete evidence she absolutely could not admit.
With a "thud," accompanied by a scream, in his rage, Felix Shaw flung aside the hand pinching Elizabeth White’s chin, her head hitting the side of the coffee table directly.
The angular wooden coffee table made Elizabeth White’s side of the head hit the corner; although not life-threatening, it hurt quite a bit.
Lying on the carpet, Elizabeth White closed her eyes, holding the spot that was hit with her hands, deeply furrowed brows showing her pain.
"Dead yet?" Felix Shaw: not softening toward Elizabeth White’s miserable state, settling back on the sofa, legs crossed, casually swirling his wine glass, "If you’re not dead, then damn well get up!"
Elizabeth White struggled to prop herself up from the carpet, no bleeding from her head, but a large swollen lump was already apparent at the spot of impact, gasping painfully, yet she still refused to admit, "That child... really is yours..."
