Seeing Mu Hanyan rushing him, Zirong didn’t waste any more time with futile questions. He quickly retreated, hid near the entrance of the secret passage, and drew his longsword, preparing himself for the battle.
Just as he finished preparations, he heard a low, muffled roar from within the passage. The sound wasn’t loud, and it came from the depths of the passage, so it wasn’t deafening. However, it was filled with a wildly ferocious aura.

In the natural world, there are various birds and beasts. Some are tame and gentle, like cows, sheep, chickens, and rabbits, while others are fierce and brutal, like tigers, wolves, eagles, and vultures.
But then, there is another kind, entirely different from these—Exotic Beasts. These creatures have undergone evolutionary anomalies in nature and acquired supernatural abilities.
