Ms. Diviner: The Prodigal Daughter's Return Chapter 35

"Crack!" With a crisp sound, the iron chain around the pig’s neck was sliced in two by a Wind Blade.

Zirong then noticed that when the Mutant Wind Pig charged out, it had also dragged the huge steel cage along with it. After running a few dozen steps, a fierce Wind Blade severed the chain from its neck.

But that was not enough to vent its fury. The Mutant Wind Pig released several more Wind Blades, and the fine steel bars, as thick as a child’s arm, were slashed open by more than an inch. After a few quivers, the cage fell apart with a clang. ᴛʜɪs ᴄʜᴀᴘᴛᴇʀ ɪs ᴜᴘᴅᴀᴛᴇ ʙʏ ɴovelfire.net

The Mutant Wind Pig didn’t pause for a moment, closely pursuing Mu Hanyan, relentlessly shooting out Wind Blades from its nostrils.

In an instant, hundreds of Wind Blades filled the narrow tunnel, forming a dense net as watertight as if splashed with water, and stone chips and dust scattered everywhere, enveloping the space.

Considering the power of these Wind Blades, they were enough to rival a Third-tier Swordsman. What’s more significant was that the Wind Blades appeared out of thin air, making them unexpectedly perilous, far more frightening than the killing power of a Third-tier Swordsman, perhaps even rivaling that of a Fifth Rank Swordsman.

Zirong’s heart raced. In such a cramped space, it was utterly impossible to dodge the hundreds of chaotic, crossing Wind Blades, akin to a net of knives. Naturally, Mu Hanyan, as a First-level Swordsman, could not possibly withstand this power, akin to that of a Fifth Rank Swordsman.

Regardless of his personal views on Mu Hanyan, as a bodyguard tasked with protecting him, how could he simply watch him die by Wind Blades? In desperation, Zirong was about to risk his life to save him.

He was just about to move when he abruptly stopped, his eyes widening in disbelief.

He saw that Mu Hanyan’s escape route was incredibly odd – darting left, dodging right, suddenly stopping while moving quickly and then stepping back half a step, with body movements equally bizarre – bending at the waist, angling his arms, leaning forward, arching back...

Zirong couldn’t comprehend how, at such a critical moment of escape, he could perform actions that completely defied human biomechanics and the principles of mechanics. Several times, he even wondered if Mu Hanyan had broken his back from exerting too much force.

What was most astonishing was that, by relying on these strange movements and pathways, Mu Hanyan moved through the Wind Blade net like a fish through water. Although it looked clumsy, the densely packed and unerring Wind Blades did not inflict any harm on him.

Good heavens, what kind of creature was this? Zirong’s gaze towards Mu Hanyan turned a tad more unfamiliar, yet grew in admiration; if it had been Zirong, he definitely wouldn’t have been able to preserve his life amidst those Wind Blades, let alone emerge unscathed like Mu Hanyan.

What level of exceptional judgment and response speed was required to find the briefest gap in the wild storm of Wind Blades?

This playboy, this seemingly useless young master, Zirong had always sensed there was something extraordinary about him, but the surprises kept on coming. Zirong pondered thoughtfully.

A man and a pig, one fleeing, the other in pursuit—though it may sound slow, it was actually incredibly fast. After all, the tunnel was only several dozen yards long, and in the blink of an eye, Mu Hanyan had already burst out.

Close behind, the Mutant Wind Pig also revealed its massive head.

In the heat of the moment, Zirong let out a low shout, soared high, and thrust his sword down, aiming for the spot between the third and fourth cervical vertebrae of the Mutant Wind Pig’s neck.

(More to come in the afternoon, kisses. From now on, updates will be at noon and 6 p.m. These two times only.)
