Lu Qing’s expression was slightly cold, completely unmoved. Instead, he turned to Fang Li and calmly reminded her:
"You might want to put more effort into Lu Lu’s upbringing."
Fang Li froze in shock. Was he targeting her? Was that why he said such things?
Ignoring how Lu Lu was shouting, Lu Qing held Qin Miaomiao close as they went upstairs. Once the door shut, he asked in a low voice:
"Where are you hurt?"
"Where are you hurt."
He repeated the question once more, and only then did Qin Miaomiao react. She waved her hand quickly:
"It’s nothing, just a scratch from a fingernail, really no big deal."
Lu Qing frowned slightly and made an internal call, asking Sister-in-law Li to bring over the first aid kit.
He glanced at her and spoke in a commanding tone:
Alright, he was the boss. She obediently sat down in front of him, and he began to examine her carefully. What he saw was a scratch under her chin.
Drops of blood had seeped out, contrasting sharply against her icy fair skin, making the mark look strangely alluring, almost beautiful.
His eyes half-narrowed as he leaned in for a closer look. Qin Miaomiao tilted her head slightly, catching a glimpse of him raising his hand to wipe away the blood with the pad of his finger.

"I think it was two of your sister’s friends."
Lu Qing’s face turned icy. He said in a low voice:

"What... what if it’s your sister?"
He glanced up at her and calmly said, "What, do you feel Lu Lu hasn’t been punished enough?"
"No, no, it’s enough."
Kidding! House arrest and canceling her credit card? For Lu Lu, that was practically a humiliation beyond words. She’d probably settle down for a while after that.
Still, the fact that he stood up for her made her immensely grateful.
Even if their agreement lasted only three short months, as long as he protected her, it was already more than she could ask for.
She said it sincerely, from the bottom of her heart. Yet, in what happened next, all her gratitude evaporated in an instant.

Her voice was filled with anger and urgency.
