Chapter 386: Caught Red-Handed
“Alright,” Huang Youde only wanted money and didn’t care at all about how Rong Weiwei paid.
After they had agreed on terms, they got into the car together and drove towards where Rong Weiwei lived.
The surreptitious pair didn’t notice that soon after their car drove away, a white car pulled out from around the corner. Qin Xiang, with an ugly expression on her face, held her phone displaying an image of a man and woman entangled. Fury rose in her heart as she stepped on the gas and followed them…
She wanted to see just where this pair of scoundrels would go for their ‘secret meeting’!
She followed the car all the way to a residential complex, watching as Huang Youde and Rong Weiwei’s cars entered one after the other, her face swelling to the color of a liver.
She suppressed her anger and recorded the scene with her phone. After saving the video, she picked up her phone and dialed the number Rong Yan had previously given her.
“Hello, this is Qin Xiang. I want to see you!”
Rong Yan left the courthouse and rushed to the meeting place Qin Xiang had specified.
“I’m sorry, Mrs. Huang, I’m late,” said Rong Yan as she put down her bag and pulled out a chair to sit down.
The woman sitting opposite her signaled for a waiter nearby to come over, then pointed at Rong Yan and said, “Waiter, another cup of coffee, please.”
“Alright,” said the waiter after writing down the order and preparing to leave.
Qin Xiang turned back and finally looked at Rong Yan and asked, “Is coffee okay for you, Miss Rong?”
Now that the coffee had been ordered, she could hardly say no…
Rong Yan nodded helplessly, “Yes.”
Qin Xiang’s expression became a bit more relaxed and wasn’t as aggressive and dismissive as the last time Rong Yan had seen her. But she still got straight to the point and asked for the reason she had called her out, “I’m calling Miss Rong here to talk about something. I want to know if I decide to help you clarify things, what benefits will you give me?”
Rong Yan had just come from the courthouse, where the hearing was simply an exchange of evidence and each party stating their case. The final judgment would still take some time.
She was pondering how to get through this period when Qin Xiang suddenly showed up, asking such a direct question, clearly holding something in her hand.
Rong Yan looked at her candidly and asked frankly, “What would you like, Mrs. Huang? As long as it’s within my power and not an excessive demand, I will try my best to meet it. The news that has been spread about me is also very troublesome. I’m not planning to publicly disclose my boyfriend for the time being, but we are currently raising a child together. Rumors claiming that my child is Mr. Huang’s is making me very passive. I don’t want to push my son into the spotlight and have him scrutinized by the public. She blinked her eyes and smiled, saying, “Of course, my abilities are limited as of now. Although I would really like Mrs. Huang to help me clarify things, if the demands are too difficult for me to meet, I might not be able to fulfill them. But I am willing to show Mrs. Huang my sincerity!”
Qin Xiang initially had very little respect for the woman before her, thinking of her as nothing more than a female star selling her looks and figure. But now, hearing this frank speech, she slightly changed her opinion of Rong Yan. She lifted the coffee cup at her side and took a sip, stating, “Don’t worry, I know you don’t have much money, and I won’t make any unreasonable demands.
