Chapter 427: The Wound Has Already Been Sutured
The suturing surgery wasn’t particularly major, and it wasn’t long before the man finished with his stitches exited the operating room.
Cui Jiangjing, clad in a white lab coat, smiled in a professional manner and said, “Okay, you should rest in the hospital tonight for observation, and if there are no problems, you can be discharged tomorrow.”
“The ward is this way.”
He led the way to the private ward.
Rong Yan had been to Li Shengxiao’s private ward once before, and indeed, it was still the same suite that resembled a presidential suite.
The man, who had been anesthetized, had not yet woken up.

Rong Yan stood by the bed and quietly watched the man with closed eyes and a slightly pale handsome face for a while. Then she picked up her purse and hurried out.
At the hospital entrance, she selected some fruit and milk to drink, carried bags big and small, and hurried back to the suite.
The suite looked no different from when she had left; the man on the bed quietly kept his eyes closed, as if he were asleep.
Rong Yan set down the things she had bought on the bedside table, then turned back to the bed to find a fruit knife. She took out a big, red apple from the bag and began to peel it.
She peeled carefully and earnestly, not noticing when the man in the bed’s eyelashes trembled slightly.
By the time she had finished peeling an apple and cut it into small pieces on a plate, preparing to stand up and wash her hands,
suddenly, her wrist was grasped!
Rong Yan turned around, surprised and delighted, “Li Shengxiao, are you awake?”
Sure enough, she saw the man who had opened his eyes at some unknown point, deep eyes watching her.
She immediately said, “Wait a moment, I’m going to wash my hands. There’s fruit already peeled in the plate, and I’ve also made you a cup of glucose water. Have a drink first.”

Li Shengxiao’s head was still aching. He furrowed his brows and kept holding her hand without letting go, slowly sitting up.
Seeing that he wasn’t letting go of her hand, Rong Yan no longer hurried to wash her hands. She first helped him sit up, then passed him the honey water that was just right in temperature, “Have some water first.”
Generally, a lot of blood loss required glucose, and Cui Jiangjing might have missed that point and didn’t prepare it. When she had gone out to buy fruit, she had purposely bought a pack from the store.

She knew that Li Shengxiao would likely only stay here for one night, but the man had such a severe cleanliness fetish that he probably wouldn’t use the hospital’s disposable items.
Since these things needed to be bought anyway, instead of having him instruct someone to buy them later, it would be better for her to just buy them for him upfront.
The gentle and natural fragrance of the young woman surrounded him, and for the man with a splitting headache, it gradually eased. The sharp pain in his temples receded like the tide. It was as if she was his unique medicine in this world!
“Where’s Cui Jiangjing?”
His voice still carried the huskiness of someone who had just woken up, unwilling to let Rong Yan keep holding the water cup, he first took it over and sipped some of the glucose water.
