Chapter 483: Rong Yan is Waiting for Him
In a quiet flower hall on the second floor, an old man with tiger-like eyes and a bear-like gaze sat in a corner, his grizzled hair neatly combed back, vigorous and imposing. His aura was powerful!
Several people stood beside him, the others silent, watching the two tense figures without a word.
Outside the flower hall stood two security guards. Even though the old man bore no badges of rank, the ramrod posture of the guards signaled his extraordinary status.
Li Shengxiao, confronted with the people here, actually kept glancing down to check on Rong Yan’s situation.
In just the time it took to exchange a few words, he turned back to see the young woman he’d brought being harassed downstairs. The situation didn’t look good.
His thin lips instantly compressed into a straight line, and with a straight back, he spoke to the old man seated on the sofa, emanating a formidable presence. “If you called me up here just to say this, then there’s no need. I’m not interested in listening!”
He stepped forward to leave.
The old man, used to being dominant his whole life, had never been defied in his presence. Seeing him about to leave, the old man’s eyes flashed fiercely, and he barked in a deep voice, “Stay right there!”
Four words, and the air around seemed to freeze, oppressively heavy.
Not a soul dared to speak.
But Li Shengxiao walked on as if he hadn’t heard, not looking back. As he passed the two security guards, they reached out to block his path.
“Mr. Li, you can’t leave, the general isn’t done speaking.”
Rong Yan was waiting for him below!
The guards were shaken by his commanding presence, but they were experienced and quickly recovered, still keeping an emotionless face as they addressed him, “The general isn’t done speaking. Please stay.”
“I told you to get lost!”
A vicious look flashed in Li Shengxiao’s eyes. With a quick step, a shoulder throw followed by a precise roundhouse kick, he floored the two guards proclaimed to be combat elites.
“If you won’t get lost, I’ll make you.”
He didn’t even glance at the two groaning in pain on the floor as he left the second floor without looking back.
After a brief intense pain, the two men got up from the ground, looking sheepish as they apologized to the old man in the seat, “We’re sorry, General, for our incompetence, we couldn’t keep Mr. Li here!”
They had beaten numerous competitors to become guards, thinking themselves quite capable, but to be floored in a single move, utterly overpowered, was humbling.
It was embarrassingly humbling.
They wished they could just disappear into a crack in the ground.

When he said ‘take down’, he meant according to his standard, which was to beat them within half an hour.

But Li Shengxiao had never disappointed him!
