Chapter 520: Making Fruit Tea with Rong Yan
Just as the butler was about to leave, she suddenly remembered and quickly called him back, “Wait, no need to make coffee, just bring out the dessert.”
She looked at Rong Yan with a beaming smile, her eyes full of affection, “Look at me forgetting to say I was going to make you fruit tea.”
Since getting out of the car, Rong Yan had been feeling flattered and didn’t want to trouble an elder, so she softly said, “Mrs. Lin, let me help too.”
“How could I let you…” Lin Zhiya was about to refuse, thinking to have her sit and rest on the sofa.
But then she thought that making fruit tea with her daughter-in-law might also be a nice experience and decided to agree, “Alright. I’ll teach you how to make fruit tea, but I’ll wash the fruit. You mustn’t lift a finger.”
She happily pulled Rong Yan into the kitchen to make fruit tea, and before they went in, she didn’t forget to address the two, one big one small at the door, “Shengxiao, you keep Duidui company and watch some TV. Oh, and Jiangjing is here too. The two of you keep Duidui company and watch a cartoon together!”
After she had given her orders, she completely let go and disappeared into the kitchen with Rong Yan.
Cui Jiangjing, who ran into the tall and dignified man who had just come in, complained with frustration, “Wow, I was wondering why Mrs. Lin suddenly invited me to dinner. It turns out you brought Little Yan Rong here and needed me to make up the numbers and liven up the atmosphere.”

Yet today, she actually came back with Shengxiao.

Li Shengxiao gave him a look and with a touch of his thin lips said, “I heard you’ve been seeing a new girlfriend lately. Does your mother know?”
Cui Jiangjing reacted as though his tail had been stepped on, baring his teeth in immediate surrender, “I’m wrong, I’m so wrong, please don’t tell my mom.”
This time, his love affair seemed different from the past; as for how it was different, he himself hadn’t quite figured it out yet. If his family found out, it would only complicate matters.
“Then shut your mouth!” Li Shengxiao strode in, taking the five-year-old cutie with him.
“Sure, just like we can’t talk about your wife,” Cui Jiangjing muttered, still complaining, but he touched his nose and followed them inside.
Rong Yan put on the little bear apron that Lin Zhiya had prepared for her, but her attempts to help wash the fruit were intercepted, as were her offers to help cut the fruit. Perhaps realizing she was standing around awkwardly with nothing to do, Lin Zhiya finally found her a task, “Yan, can you get the rock sugar from the fridge for me?”
“Sure.” Rong Yan finally found something she could do and immediately went to fetch the rock sugar.
As she stepped out of the kitchen, she was met with several pairs of eyes watching her, not just the big one and the little one in the living room, but also Cui Jiangjing whom she hadn’t seen in a while, waving and greeting her.
“Hi, Miss Rong, long time no see.”
Little Baby wouldn’t be outdone, also calling out, “Mom.”
Of course, in addition to them, the servants of the villa, including the butler, were surreptitiously sneaking glances at her.
The unanimous attention made Rong Yan feel as if she wasn’t just visiting but was under the spotlight on a TV show. She acknowledged Little Baby and quickly found the rock sugar in the fridge before heading back to the kitchen.
