Chapter 539: Watching her drink the Supreme Revitalizing Soup
Whether or not to admit the identity of Li Shengxiao seemed indeed to be a problem.
Rong Yan was lost in her thoughts when suddenly someone knocked on the door.
She put aside her notebook, came back to her senses, and turned around to say, “Come in.”
A servant-like person came in holding a tray and, after calling ‘Miss Rong,’ placed two bowls of steaming soup in front of Rong Yan, saying respectfully, “Miss Rong, this is the supper Madame has prepared for you and the young master, one portion each. Please enjoy.”
“Uh, I’m already full from dinner…”
It seemed they had only eaten dinner less than three hours ago, and she was not at all hungry now.
The servant, keeping his head down, said, “Madame personally simmered this and instructed us to make sure Miss Rong drinks some. Perhaps, Miss Rong, you could drink just a little?”
It was Mrs. Lin’s doing again… Rong Yan feared nothing except Lin Zhiya’s eager and expectant look. She really didn’t know what to do.
Looking at the bowl of soup still steaming on the table, she gritted her teeth, closed her eyes, picked up the bowl, and, as though going into battle, tilted her head back and gulped down most of it until her stomach couldn’t take it anymore and she set down the bowl, helplessly saying, “Can I get away with drinking this much?”
If she really had to finish it, her stomach would probably explode tonight.
She had a magazine cover shoot the next day, and by rule, she should not eat too much at night, let alone drink water before bed, to prevent her face from swelling the next day.
Now, not only had she eaten and drunk, but she had also had such a large bowl of soup at night. If her face were to swell tomorrow, she could imagine Estelle’s speechless expression.
“That’ll do.” The servant saw her drink the majority and, having fulfilled his task, confidently took away the bowl of decoction pigeon soup, bending toward Rong Yan, “Miss Rong, please give the remaining portion to the young master when he returns. Have an early rest.”
Rong Yan felt so full she wanted to vomit, and couldn’t possibly sleep. She could only nod and watch as the servant left, even kindly closing the door behind her.

To aid digestion, Rong Yan had no choice but to accept her fate and walk back and forth in her room as if taking a stroll.
After a few laps, sweat formed on her back, though she didn’t know whether it was from fatigue or the mild perspiration caused by the hot soup.
About half an hour later, the dignified and handsome man returned to the room from his study and saw the little woman in pink Rabbit pajamas pacing back and forth.
Her fair melon-seed face was slightly flushed from exercise, and her clear and rosy skin glistened like a ripe apple before him, shaking as if enticing him to take a bite!
His steps faltered, his eyes narrowed slightly, restraining the possessiveness in his gaze as he walked over and interrupted the path of the person still pacing the room, his voice husky, “What are you doing?”
“Hmm,” Rong Yan suddenly found her path blocked and realized he had returned at some point. She let out a pent-up breath and said, gasping slightly, “Taking a walk. Oh, by the way, there is a bowl of soup on the table. Drink it while it’s still warm.”
