Without getting a response, he added softly, “I’m worried Miss Rong might still be waiting for you, not knowing when you’ll return. She must be very concerned.”
The key was that after a quarrel, someone had to initiate.
If the president called back, it would mean he was the one reaching out first.
“I also don’t know if Miss Rong has had dinner. She usually waits for you to return so you can eat together.
