Rong Yan looked at his chiseled jawline, shook her head, “It doesn’t hurt. You can do it faster, I’m not afraid of pain.”
How could anyone not be afraid of pain?
She was still just a girl.
Just like Cui Jiangjing said, any normal girl encountering such a situation would have done well not to scream out loud.
Yet, she remained stoic throughout, pale-faced but seemingly indifferent to pain.
Was it because she had experienced things far more painful than this, that she no longer regarded such an injury as significant? Rong Yan was surprised that he had started a conversation with her again and honestly replied, “It’s nothing much. I thought just in case something happened, I could use it to defend myself. It did come in handy later, but I accidentally cut my palm with it while using it.”
Initially, she had smashed the glass into a jagged edge, waving off three thugs. She had used pepper spray on someone, then knocked people to the floor with the glass.
After that, she picked up a stool from the hotel and smashed the bathroom’s glass, using the large sharp glass shards she created as a weapon. While using the pain to stay alert, she was also prepared to fight those people to the end in case they got up again.
