“So what do you want to do?” Fu Ya, confused, furrowed her brows and glared at Rong Yan.
Rong Yan, holding Little Baby’s hand, remembered how Little Baby had been dragged on the ground, biting people. When she looked at Fu Ya again, her eyes held an added severity. She closed in on Fu Ya, her gaze bearing down, “It seems you’re very keen on winning the AQ competition, even went as far as to pull some strings and visit the head producer.”
Fu Ya’s heart skipped a beat. Only a few people knew about her reaching out to the head producer’s house with gifts; how did Rong Yan know about it?
Although panicked inside, she tried to maintain a calm appearance, “Who told you that? That’s nonsense. I’m not doing anything of the sort. I will rely on my own abilities to compete.”
“Heh, abilities, do you even have any?” Rong Yan scoffed contemptuously, her casual tone crushing Fu Ya.
Fu Ya’s face turned iron blue, growing increasingly impatient, “What on earth do you want, if there’s nothing, don’t stand in my way!”
“I said I don’t want to do anything,” Rong Yan blocked her path again without a trace, then suddenly pushed her.
“Ah!” Caught off guard, Fu Ya’s high heel twisted, and she nearly fell, stumbling. Thankfully, her assistant was close by and reacted quickly, pulling her back.
Unfortunately, the assistant was too slender and small, burden with so many things Fu Ya had him carry; even with the intention to help, the effect was almost negligible.
Fu Ya still didn’t manage to steady herself and wound up sitting on the ground.
A piercing pain traveled up from her tailbone. Angry, she raised her head, looking at Rong Yan as if she could devour her, “You… you, you’ve gone too far!”
Rong Yan didn’t feel at all that she was bullying anyone. She crouched down, approaching the person seated on the ground, her eyes shining intensely, and spoke deliberately, “This is bullying you? Then brace yourself; I plan to bully you for a long time. Whenever I remember you, I’ll bully you once, mess with you once.”
Fu Ya thought she was tough with her backers and liked to pull rank; Rong Yan would just be overbearing and see how it played out.
“You won’t have such an easy time at KT in the future! Make sure to keep your tail tucked in when you walk, and those hands better stop meddling and grabbing at things. If you grab the wrong thing again, if your hands keep fidgeting, someone might just chop them off for you.”
“You…” Fu Ya’s face flushed red, then white, then purple, her body trembling with anger, “You think I’m easy to bully, well I’m telling you, I’m not afraid of you, I…”
“I know your dad is on the board of directors,” Rong Yan stood upright, her eyes alluring like silk, smiling slightly, “Haven’t you heard that my sugar daddy is a high-ranking executive at Li Group. So who’s higher-ranked? By bringing up your father, are you reminding me not to forget your family while I deal with you?”
Fu Ya was inherently the type to bully the weak and fear the strong; she would have been overeager to ingratiate herself with those tougher than her. She merely could not stand Rong Yan suppressing her. Upon hearing Rong Yan’s warning, she was already petrified, her face pale yet riveting, staring at Rong Yan, trying to seem unflinching, but her inability to speak already betrayed her cowardice.
“Take that money and get a tetanus shot, since you’ve taken my money, don’t bother showing up for tomorrow’s notice, ‘rest well.’ I’ll have Estelle mention it to the company executives; they won’t let you ‘persist at work while ill’!”
