Chapter 809: Chapter 809: The Sweet-Talking Little Baby
“Grandma isn’t old, Grandma is the youngest, just a bit older than Duidui.” Having finished his bath, the little guy popped up from nowhere. Upon hearing Lin Zhiya’s words, he ran over, puffing his cheeks indignantly in protest.
Lin Zhiya was so amused that she was all smiles, repeatedly calling him her sweet, precious baby.
Only then did Li Duidui allow Rong Yan to pick him up. Blinking his big eyes, he tilted his head and asked the two, “Mom, why does being young feel so good, is Duidui the youngest? Does that make Duidui the best?”
“This…” Rong Yan really wanted to explain the difference between being young and being a juvenile to him, for he was at an age where he barely had a full set of hair!
However, seeing the little guy’s hopeful expression, she and Lin Zhiya exchanged glances and said in unison, “Of course, who else could be the best if not you?”
The beautiful Little Baby immediately showed a bashful expression, quickly looking away then peeking back, and sweetly said to Rong Yan and Lin Zhiya, “Mom and Grandma are the best too!”
Lin Zhiya playfully teased him, pinching his rosy cheek, “Then who does Duidui think is better, mom or grandma?”
For most five-year-olds, the answer would typically be their own mother, but Li Duidui responded quickly and with composure, in his childish voice, “Mom is Duidui’s mom, and grandma is Duidui’s grandma, so adding them both up, Duidui must be the best. Because Duidui has the best mom and grandma!”
His response was too quick, unexpectedly complimenting both.
Lin Zhiya, who had merely wanted to tease him, couldn’t help but look surprised herself, and said to Rong Yan, “Sss, I’ve been wanting to say this for a while, but I’ve noticed that my little baby seems to be much smarter than other kids his age. It’s not just my imagination, right?”
Rong Yan didn’t know how to describe her Little Baby’s talent for sweet talking from both sides as she pinched his chubby cheek, “I had Duidui’s IQ tested abroad, and the result came out to be 192, which is in the genius range. But I think he’s alright. Apart from being a bit sensible, he isn’t particularly different from average kids.”
He still liked watching cartoons, preferred snacks over meals, disliked soup, and loved playing games, among other things.
Yet sometimes, Little Baby’s intelligence truly did take her by surprise.
For example, most kids his age would at most play games like Tetris or Candy Crush. He was different; at such a young age, he was already playing games that required operation, like ‘Honor of Kings’ or mobile ‘PUBG’.
And then there was that time when Little Baby turned out to be the president of her online fan club, which was enough to astonish her. But then other things happened, and she didn’t pursue the matter further.
Her conclusion was that although Li Duidui was very smart, he wasn’t monstrously so. He grew up well and didn’t lose the joy of childhood despite his high IQ.
Lin Zhiya let out a sigh of relief, a content smile curving her lips, “That’s good, that’s good. I was worried that being too smart might not be good for him.”
Looking affectionately at the Little Baby in Rong Yan’s arms, Lin Zhiya said softly, “I just hope you all live well and happily. I don’t expect much else. I demanded too much of Shengxiao when he was little, was too strict with him, which is why he developed such a stubborn character. Luckily…”
She lifted her head, her eyes softening as she glanced at Rong Yan, leaving the rest unsaid.
What she meant was, thankfully, Rong Yan had come into their lives. It was because of her that her son became truly alive, not just a machine capable of calculating with precision!
