Mo Qiu stood in the doorway, looking at Ye Qilan, lost in thought while holding the unfinished baby sweater.
Her intuition was right, Su Hongxing was not kind-hearted. Because of Su Hongxing, her engagement with Ye Qilan ended indecisively.
She seated herself beside Ye Qilan and said, “Qilan, Miss Su will surely be alright. The child is gone, but I can have one for you in the future.”
Ye Qilan ignored Mo Qiu, but she held his hand, “You were supposed to let her go eventually, isn’t this departure just what you wanted? Just let Miss Su go. Stop this obsession, please…”
Ye Qilan withdrew his hand and stood up, going to the window, “It shouldn’t be this way.”
His plan was for Su Hongxing to have the baby first, then leave.
“Isn’t it all the same? The only difference is that her child is gone, isn’t this an even more definitive break? Qilan, don’t tell me you’re regretting now!” Mo Qiu said through gritted teeth.
Ye Qilan wasn’t someone who would typically have regrets. Even if Su Hongxing was extraordinary, he would never fall in love with her.

He hasn’t recovered yet, doesn’t understand why his child is gone, doesn’t understand why Su Hongxing is bleeding so much, and why she quietly left without a trace.
He had planned to sever ties cleanly and let her completely leave his life, but he thought that Su Hongxing shouldn’t have exited his life in such a tragic way.
Mo Qiu stared at Ye Qilan for a while and then smiled grimly, “Qilan, did you fall in love with her?”
How could that be possible?
Ye Qilan was a cold-hearted man by nature, he could never fall in love with any woman in the world, he would never have feelings for Su Hongxing, nor could he possibly develop feelings for her.
Ye Qilan turned his gaze to Mo Qiu and muttered, “What is love?”
Did a man like him even know love?
“I hope that you never understand love in your life.” Mo Qiu sighed lightly, closed the window to shut out the chilly autumn night, “Go to sleep early. You should know that the moment you resolved to push Su Hongxing away, she had already left you. Whether it’s Su Hongxing or her child, they’re both gone.”
She walked slowly to the door, looking back at his towering figure standing alone in the room.
Sometimes she also wished that Ye Qilan could genuinely fall in love with a woman one day, then be abandoned by that woman and taste the flavor of heart-wrenching pain.
Yet if that day really came, there would be no place for her by Ye Qilan’s side.
She quietly closed the room door, isolating the chilliness inside the room. As she passed the main bedroom, she saw the splotches of blood at the door.
