My Favorite Game Followed Me! Chapter 526

Anton decided that his next battle would be the last battle for the day. The dungeon key indicated that he had only conquered around 20 percent of the total monsters on the floor, and it was already almost nighttime. That meant that he would have to spend three or more days on this floor.

He expected as much because Anton knew that the deeper floors would be much, much harder to conquer and would take time, and he had prepared himself for that already.

The next set of monsters that Anton would fight was something he was familiar with. His ravens sighted the webs that were created by spiders between the rock walls, and he knew then that the next fight was with the most common monster that one could find anywhere, which was spiders.

He saw through the eyes of one of his ravens that the desert spiders were as large as horses, and there were ten of them. Anton knew that normally, when fighting spiders, one would need to prepare to fight a horde of them, but for some reason, he was not seeing any spider babies. Just the ten huge spiders. Anton then thought of the possibility that the smaller spiders were hidden somewhere and would suddenly attack them once he was fully engaged with the fight.

Anton didn’t want to wait any longer, and once he was near enough, he summoned all of his summons then commanded them to engage the spiders once he was fully prepared. He was half expecting that a horde of spiders would suddenly appear to fight with his summons, aside from the ten huge spiders, but thankfully, nothing like that appeared.

The ten huge desert spiders jumped from their webs and engaged his minions. Anton was greatly surprised at the jumping power and agility of the spiders. The monsters’ movements were so smooth that he felt like he was seeing the shadow of that superhero, Spider-Man. Seeing those movements in monsters irked Anton for some reason. They would have been impressive if those agile movements were made by humans or, at the very least, by his minions.

The spider shot webs at all of his minions, and even Anton, who was up in the air, wasn’t spared. He easily avoided the webs by teleporting out of the way, but unfortunately, except for his Valkyrie and his Shadow Master, each of his summons was covered in the white sticky stuff. It caused everyone’s movement to be sluggish, and those who were affected were not able to move.

Anton quickly cast curses at the ten spiders and the Frozen Orb spell together with the Blizzard spell in an attempt to slow the monsters. Regarding those summons that couldn’t move, he simply dismissed them and re-summoned them, then he commanded all of them to attack the spiders.

Anton felt a little frustrated watching his summons fight the ten spiders. The huge insect spiders moved around his wolves and his dire bear and clay golem with a speed that his summons couldn’t catch up to, and the fact that after a few minutes, his summons were again covered with the spiders’ webs made him decided to just dismissed all of the summons except for the Valkyrie, the Shadow Master, who were agile enough to keep up with the spiders and his Dire Bear and Clay Golem who could tank the spiders’ attacks.

After that, he switched his aura to the Prayer Aura to make sure that the remaining summons would not die, and then Anton concentrated on casting his curses and his cold spells at the huge insect monsters.

His Frozen Orb and Blizzard did help a lot in slowing down the agile desert spider. Not only that, together with his curses, the damage that he was doing to the monsters was huge. The fact that they were agile monsters meant that their defenses were not great, and with Anton focusing on one spider at a time, soon, each of the spiders was killed.

Anton was hugely thankful for his teleport spell. Because of that spell, he could easily avoid even the most agile monsters. Even the telekinesis spell, which was mostly useless in the game, was one of the most useful spells he currently had. It allowed him to fly.

He harvested all the body parts from the spiders that he could submit as quest items, then stored the mana stones and items that he received from a chest hidden in the center of the spiders’ webs.

After that, he flew back a little ways and set up his camp for the night. He summoned all of his minions to guard him while he slept because knowing that there were a lot of summons outside his tiny house made him feel secure enough to rest without any worries. Then he took a bath, which relaxed his body. After that, he ate a sumptuous meal, then he spent a couple of hours browsing the internet before falling asleep.

Since the setting of the floor was a desert canyon, it was a given that when night arrived, the temperature would fall to the extreme. It didn’t matter to Anton since the inside of his tiny house was warm due to his enchanted Fire Wall stove. He did keep the windows open a little to avoid suffocating.

The good thing about the current floor was that it didn’t turn too dark. Even during “nighttime”, the surroundings were still bright as twilight. When he woke up, Anton saw that it was only three in the morning. If it were the normal night setting, he wouldn’t be able to move forward and would have to wait until it was light enough to continue clearing the floor, since if it was too dark, this floor would be exceptionally dangerous, given that most of the animals tend to ambush intruders on this floor.

Anton stored his tiny house in his inventory and dispelled all of his summons except for the ravens and the spirit wolves, and commanded them to move forward while he flew after them.

After a while, his spirit wolves were ambushed by desert snakes again. Since he had experience fighting the snakes, Anton easily killed the snakes, even though the fight was still a little long due to the hardiness of the monsters.

The next few fights that he had encountered were mostly variations of overgrown and mutated desert animals and insects. His tactics in fighting the monsters were mostly the same. If the monsters were a lot and more of melee or physical fighters, he would summon his minions and help them kill the monsters. If the monster or monsters were something that couldn’t be fought with his minions, Anton would focus on fighting them off using his curses and his offensive spells, and utilizing his Teleport spell and Telekinesis spell to avoid being hit.

By the time noon arrived, Anton was exhausted, so he stopped to eat lunch and took a nap. After a couple of hours of sleep, he was ready to continue with his conquest of the 50th floor of the Corridors of Amuneta dungeon.

The next couple of days were exhausting for Anton. The enemies were tanky, and because most of them tend to hide themselves and then ambush Anton and his summons, he was always tense.

To be honest, the experience was not that bad since Anton rested when he was tired. When the dungeon key indicated that he had killed all the monsters on the floor, Anton sighed with relief and started counting his gains from the floor.
