At 8:40, Annan’s car arrived at the designated location.
Seeing the towering skyscraper with the huge logo embedded at the top of the building, Annan couldn’t help but be impressed, "Holy smokes, is Xuan Ze a part of RSM (Ring Shadow Media)?"
Yuran responded indifferently, "Didn’t I send you the location earlier? Didn’t you know?"
Annan, feeling a little embarrassed, chuckled, "Out of the three giants, Diyang is my favorite."
Yuran: "..." There’s nothing I can do about that. Selective blindness is essentially the same as feigning ignorance.
Xuan Ze had chosen four actors for the audition, all meticulously handpicked by him, plus the impromptu addition of Yuran, making a total of five.
Their demeanors were largely similar, all exuding a touch of elegance. Annan, seeing several people sitting quietly in the corridor not interacting with each other, glanced at Yuran beside her, "Do you feel very nervous?"
Yuran sized up the others without pausing, "No!"
Annan suddenly felt she might be too timid, startled easily, and, with an "Oh," continued walking with Yuran.
Yuran’s arrival caught the attention of the others, and the auditioning actors all took a sidelong glance at her, one of whom Yuran recognized, a newcomer actor who had quickly risen to fame over the past two or three years.
Rumored to be a new talent heavily promoted by Jiuxing Media, she had acted in several popular main dramas with a great response, but seemed to have had no new releases in the past year, leading to a decline in popularity.
Her name was Zu Shiting.
The rest eyed her with a calm composure, but an odd flurry of emotions churned within them, all with a similar thought in mind: Why is there another one?
Yuran smiled politely at the group and found a seat, hardly sitting down before a professional-looking woman approached with a stack of documents and stood before them.
Utterly emotionless, she stated, "Respond when your name is called."
"Zu Shiting, Zhou Lianjia, Ye Wen... Yuran."
"Here!" Yuran responded, taking advantage of the role call to memorize the names and faces of the other three, recalling a vague impression of their profiles in her mind.
However, when they heard her name, Ye Wen suddenly looked towards her, his gaze too direct, and Yuran easily felt it, meeting his eyes as she looked up.
Once the names were called, the woman said, "I’m in charge of arranging your auditions, call me Ada. The director, screenwriter, and RSM’s art director will handle your audition questions.
Results won’t be announced immediately, of course, and they won’t take more than three days. After the audition, you’re free to leave and just await notification. Here are the personal information forms, please fill them out."
The group filled the forms quickly and handed them to Ada. While Ada sorted the personal information documents, she asked them, "Do you have any questions regarding what was just discussed? If so, you can ask them now."
After some thought, Yuran asked, "What will the audition process be like?"
Ada chuckled, "That question, Miss Yuran, you’ll find out during your audition. I can’t reveal it just yet. Any other questions?"
A smile crossed Yuran’s mind at the simplicity of her unanswered question, knowing it was even less likely she’d get an answer to any other. So, she shook her head, indicating she had nothing else to ask.
The remaining four also shook their heads, waiting for further instruction.
Ada smiled faintly, "Don’t be too nervous. There are only a few of you auditioning, and the selection will be made from among you. Get ready, I’ll come to get you in ten minutes."
