As soon as Ada left, Ye Wen got up from the group, walked over to Yuran who was sitting across from her, and stood still.
Feeling a shadow looming over her, Yuran slightly lifted her eyes and saw the person up close, asking with confusion, "May I help you with something?"
Ye Wen’s expression looked somewhat odd, and she also appeared surprised, "You’re called... Yuran?"
Ye Wen continued to ask, her tone filled with disbelief, "The Yuran who sang on the original soundtrack for ’General’s Token’?"
The other’s expression was far from admiration or that of a fan, but rather filled with skepticism and scorn. Yuran had seen this look all too often and slightly furrowed her brow.

That was an indirect admission that she was indeed that Yuran.
Ye Wen, having made a fool of herself and lost face, had her complexion turn sour, and her expression no longer concealed her feelings. With a snort, she returned to her seat.
As soon as she sat down, the girl who had been introduced fourth leaned over and started chatting with her. In such a small space, even though they lowered their voices, one could still catch snippets of the conversation.
The girl’s name was Zhou Jingjing.
"Ye Wen, that was awkward, huh? That woman has been interacting quite a bit with major stars. Who knows if one of them recommended her for this audition? Let me tell you, these types of gifted and beautiful women with connections... it’s better to keep a respectful distance."
The subtext of her words depended on one’s interpretation: it could be a source of bother if you took it the wrong way, or simply others’ jealousy if you didn’t think much of it at all.
Yuran chose the latter interpretation.
While Zhou Jingjing was speaking, she occasionally glanced in Yuran’s direction, but Yuran didn’t give her a moment’s attention, instead asking Annan for the script and starting to read.
Knowing full well that she had overheard their conversation, yet not getting angry or arguing back, to Ye Wen and Zhou Jingjing, seemed like sheer arrogance.
Ye Wen could no longer maintain her smile and grew impatient with Zhou Jingjing’s idle chatter. Judging by Yuran’s reaction, she clearly didn’t consider them worth her attention.
Zhou Lianjia and Zu Shiting were much quieter; the two only paid attention to Yuran initially, and after shifting their gaze away, they did their own thing and didn’t stir up trouble like the other two.
Like Yuran, they read their scripts on the side.
In the RSM surveillance room, Austin watched the monitors for a while and, with a smirk, turned to his friend Xuan Ze·Tang, "Tang, are these the girls you carefully selected?"
Especially when his gaze swept over Ye Wen and Zhou Jingjing, his expression was particularly meaningful.
Xuan Ze·Tang was unconcerned and instead focused his gaze on Yuran, chuckling, "There are also unexpected elements, aren’t there? Without a foil, how can excellence stand out?"
Austin smiled without responding, but nostalgically remarked, "There’s actually one thing I’ve been worried about. The true story of your parents’ love, did you write it into the script?"
"No, I’m planning to discuss that part of the story after we choose the cast."
Austin expressed surprise, "If that’s the case, it’s basically impossible for everyone to interpret the peculiar nature of the role Tang Wan."
