Police Station, Director Luo hurried to the operations room.
That’s right, the operations room. Knocking out the police and hijacking a police car was indeed a huge deal, it could only be treated as a terrorist attack.
"Have you identified the dangerous individuals? Who are they?" Director Luo asked impatiently.
"Reporting to the Director, the situation is peculiar. It turns out the group led by President Chu Mengyao hijacked the police car. What’s even more surprising is that all the taxis and private cars in the city chose this moment to hit the road, not picking up passengers, seemingly deliberately trying to block President Chu." Someone reported and brought up the surveillance footage.
Director Luo watched the footage, pondered for a moment, then issued an order, "Withdraw all the police forces and have the nearby ones escort the vehicle carrying President Chu safely to its destination."
"Huh?" The officers bustling in the operations room were stunned.
"Why?" They all wanted to ask why the director would do such a thing, it seemed so strange.

"Yes." Everyone could only follow the command and started making calls one by one.
The armed police units, fully ready to deploy, also halted their actions.
Director Luo knew well that Chu Mengyao had a bidding to attend. His decision wasn’t because of Chu Mengyao, but because of Ye Fan’s presence. He knew about the relationship and dealings between Zhang Lu and Ye Fan, so he dared not act recklessly. He had to downplay the situation and exert all efforts to assist President Chu.
"Director, why do this? Even if President Chu has legitimate reasons, we can’t just let this go on unchecked, right? Besides, President Chu’s secretary clearly looks like a dangerous element; they can’t go unpunished." Someone voiced their dissent.
"Why? You’ll only have the right to know why when you sit in my chair." Director Luo replied irritably.
On the road, the police car sirens blared, and soon, the radio inside the car rang out.
"By orders from above, we’re here to escort you." The few police cars pursuing Ye Fan’s group received the order from above. Amidst their confusion and bewilderment, they broadcast this message.
"What?" Zhang Jing was dumbfounded, "Earlier, the police behind us said we should surrender obediently, or it would lead to a dead end. How did their tone change so quickly? This is too dramatic."

"What should we do? Such an accident can’t happen. My plan must not fail." Shen Tingting became anxious.
"I’ll go meet Meng Hao. Maybe there’s a way to turn things around. If the bidding could be postponed by two hours, all problems would be resolved." Zhang Lu said, heading towards Meng Hao.
"Why hasn’t Mengyao arrived yet? This is unusual, logically, she should have been here long ago."
"I earnestly hope Mengyao can witness me winning this bidding, defeating her in my hands. This would prove I’m better than Mengyao."
Meng Hao glanced around anxiously, unable to spot Mengyao anywhere.
He was full of confidence for this bid, believing his chances of success were high.
