The two generals instructed their men to accuse, claiming that Kasam's downfall was imminent, and if the people inside the military base were to capture Kasam alive and surrender, many benefits would be promised to the surrendering individuals, while they were also threatened with the consequences of stubborn resistance.
The people inside the military base had nothing good to say about Farhadi, calling him a traitor among other things.
There was no conflict between the two sides; Kasam's men were outnumbered, but their firepower strongholds gave them immense lethality. The two generals didn't hastily launch an offensive, as such action would inevitably lead to heavy losses.
