"What nonsense are you talking about!" Ye Gaosheng stealthily peeked into the house to make sure no one was coming out before quietly moving closer to Ye Jiu’s ear. "Little sister, you will always be the most beloved by your fourth brother, incomparable to anyone else."
"Is that so, not even your wife?" Ye Jiu asked deliberately.
Ye Gaosheng glanced into the house again before nodding.
Ye Jiu watched Ye Gaosheng’s expression and burst into laughter, her joy boundless. "Then in the future, what about your daughter? Your son? Are they inferior too?"
Ye Gaosheng was left speechless, his face turning red with embarrassment as he chided, "What nonsense are you spouting, you little girl? Don’t you feel ashamed?"
Even though Ye Gaosheng had just broken his vegetarian fast the previous night, he found that when his little sister was shameless, he still couldn’t compare to her.
"Alright, I’ll stop teasing you. I still need to go to our mother to secure some benefits for you!" Ye Jiu said.
"What benefits?" Ye Gaosheng asked, puzzled.
"Obviously, it’s about the money you’ve earned. Previously, it was just you, so mom managed your finances, but now that you’ve gotten a wife, do you really want our mother, at her age, to still labor over managing your household finances?" Ye Jiu said purposefully.
Ye Gaosheng understood that Ye Jiu was considering his best interests, but he genuinely did not care about who held the money, "Little sister, if mom likes having the money, let her keep it. I’ll always be earning more anyway."
Ye Jiu couldn’t help but laugh; she was doing this for the sake of family harmony.
Otherwise, if no one brought up this matter, given their mother’s thrifty nature, she surely wouldn’t voluntarily offer up the money. Even if Ye Gaosheng earned more money later, it would still be tightly held by their mother.
Now that Qingyue had just joined the family, naturally, she wouldn’t have much to say about it, but who would want their financial lifeline entirely in someone else’s hands forever?

What their mother said was indeed true.
