"Brother Deidara, this level of explosion can't hurt me!"
As the smoke cleared, Genya stood in place, looking up at Deidara in the sky, completely unharmed. "If this is all you've got, then this fight is mine to win!"
He knew that Deidara had been holding back, but this time, he wanted Deidara to fight with everything he had. He wanted Deidara to acknowledge him.
"Genya, I held back just now. Otherwise, you wouldn't even be a challenge!" Deidara's brow twitched as he heard the challenge in Genya's voice.
"Since you want to keep fighting, don't blame me for being ruthless!"
With that said, he slapped his palm against the massive body of his clay dragon, causing it to twist and turn in the air.
In the end, it pointed its sharp nose directly at Genya.
The dragon's mouth opened wide, and with a gentle puff, a large clay bird flew out, diving towards Genya at high speed.
The bird's speed was incredible!
This bird was about the same size as the one Deidara had ridden before, and it shot forward, reaching Genya in the blink of an eye.
Genya narrowed his eyes as the bird locked onto him. His body swiftly retreated.
"Think you can run? No chance!" With the first giant bird coming at him, a second followed, then a third.
Five massive clay birds in total.
They were fast, but Genya was just as fast, dodging and leading the birds in circles on the ground. Finally, he used the trees to his advantage, sending the birds crashing into them, triggering explosive detonations!
The explosions echoed through the air, and Deidara followed closely behind Genya, admiring the battlefield. The confident smile on his face returned.
"Genya... This time, I've definitely won!" Deidara grinned even more as he watched a bird just five meters away from Genya explode.
After the battle, he had figured out Genya's strength. Although this attack wouldn't seriously injure Genya, it should at least hurt him and leave him in a messy state!
So, without waiting for the smoke to clear, Deidara shouted at the ground, "Genya. This time, I won. Admit defeat!"
"Of course. If you beg me, I might just leave with you!"
Deidara said this while keeping his eyes locked on the smoke.
As long as Genya moved even a little inside the smoke, he would immediately counter.
"Admit defeat? I think it's a bit early for that. I still have the strength to fight!" Suddenly, Genya's voice rang in Deidara's ears.
Hearing this voice, Deidara froze for a moment. It didn't seem to come from the ground... but from beside him?
Instantly, he turned his head.
And there he saw Genya, standing behind him with a smiling face. The moment Deidara saw him, his pupils shrank sharply.
Impossible. It's impossible.
He was currently a hundred meters in the air. Besides the Third Tsuchikage, Onoki, no one could appear on his flying bird , especially not so silently.
This was absolutely impossible.
Genjutsu. Genjutsu! This must be a genjutsu!
The word flashed in Deidara's mind. Genya must've used genjutsu on him, or else he could never have witnessed such an impossible scene.
Thinking of this, Deidara shouted, "Genjutsu! Genya, did you use genjutsu on me again? I'm telling you, that's cheating! I don't accept it!"
"Genjutsu? Deidara, are you underestimating me?" Genya looked at Deidara, smiling calmly. "Whether it's genjutsu or not, you'll find out soon enough!"
As soon as he spoke, a kunai appeared in Genya's hand, surrounded by lightning chakra, and he slashed at one of the clay dragon's wings, cutting it off.
Immediately, the clay dragon began to tilt and started descending.
"Genjutsu! This has to be genjutsu!" Deidara didn't believe Genya wasn't using genjutsu. He closed his eyes and tried to stop himself from feeling the sensation of falling. "I didn't expect your genjutsu to feel so real, it's like I'm actually there!"
Everything happening was a genjutsu Genya created to make him feel as though he was truly falling.
The only thing he could do now was to remain still, so the genjutsu couldn't harm him.
Just as the clay dragon and Deidara were about to crash to the ground, Genya leaped forward and grabbed Deidara by the collar, preventing him from hitting the ground.
Deidara opened his eyes, especially when he saw Genya flying with him. Genya's face held a knowing smile, as if he had already won. "I'm still in the air... this is all genjutsu. Even you, Genya, are part of the genjutsu. You're my clay dragon!"
"Clay dragon, keep attacking, don't stop! I've already fallen under his genjutsu. Anything I do could be wrong. The more I try to do, the more mistakes I make in this genjutsu state."
"I'll stay in the air . Genya won't be able to attack me. Once his genjutsu fails, I'll win!"
Deidara babbled on, his smug expression showing he believed he had figured everything out.
To make sure, Deidara even tightened his grip on Genya.
Genya, seeing that Deidara thought he was the clay dragon, twitched his lips. It seemed that Deidara had developed a fear of genjutsu, which was why he was acting so strangely.
"I told you, you're not trapped in a genjutsu. I caught you!" Genya reminded, looking at Deidara, who was still holding onto him, smugly.
"Hmph, Genya, don't try to deceive me with genjutsu. I won't fall for it!" Deidara still didn't believe him. "If you're so sure, put me on the ground. Once I'm on the ground, I'll believe you haven't used genjutsu!"
"You said it yourself!" Genya smiled and began to pry Deidara's fingers off one by one, letting him fall.
But as soon as Deidara's hand loosened, he immediately grabbed Genya's ankle again.
At that moment, Deidara still wore a knowing smile on his face. "So it's an illusion after all. You're trying to trick me into falling? But... this illusion really feels too real!"
"Trick you into falling?" Genya sighed with a wry smile. This guy was really stubborn. "If that's the case, let me wake you up a bit more!"
With that said, Genya's foot landed on Deidara's face, and he said, "Do you believe me now? Do you believe me now?"
With each step, Deidara's nose started bleeding from the kicks.
"Hmph, it's all an illusion! An illusion! Even the pain is an illusion. I will never fall!" Deidara gritted his teeth, his once confident demeanor now replaced with stubbornness.
"..." Genya was completely done with this. He sighed and kicked harder!
After enduring about ten more kicks from Genya, Deidara started feeling dizzy, and his hand unconsciously loosened.
Deidara fell straight down, hitting the ground with a loud crash.
