In the middle of the arena, Medics who rushed after the match ended checked on Samui, only to find out that she is relatively fine with just the need for rest.
Samui started to stand up as the medics carried back their equipment to their station.
"You ok, Samui?" Naruto asked with a hint of concern as he approached the now-standing Samui.
"Yeah, I am fine." Samui said as she looked at Naruto. His Katana is nowhere to be seen, she assumed that he resealed it. Looking at his almost clean attire and then looking at her mangled clothing gave her a clear picture of the difference in their power level.
"Are you sure? The medics should have carried you off the arena grounds. You don't seem stable enough to walk." Naruto asked, as he could see that her limbs and muscles were still twitching slightly.
"Yeah, I am sure." Samui replied as she took her first step to prove she was okay. As soon a she took the step, her legs seemed to have given up and she was about to fall again on the ground.
Before she could fall on the ground, a hand caught her arm, preventing that.
"No need to be stubborn. Just say you aren't fine yet." Naruto said as he helped her back on her feet.
"Can you two clear the fighting grounds? I need to start the second match." Isamu said a bit impatiently
Naruto and Samui looked at each other for a second before Naruto sighed and approached Samui.
"W..What are you doing?" Samui asked with a startled voice as Naruto carried her in a princess carry with an arm behind her back and the other behind her knees.
"I am carrying you obviously. You can't walk properly, and we need to leave." Naruto said as he started to walk towards the exit.
"I can see that, but couldn't you carry me another way, like a piggyback. This is embarrassing and very not cool." Samui said in a flustered tone. Her embarrassment increased when she heard whistles from the crowd as they went through the exit.
Up in the Kage booth, Hiruzen and Jiraiya were sweating from the Dark and menacing aura coming from Tsunade as they looked at the disappearing two.
'Don't blow your and Naru's cover, Tsunade. There will be enough time to kill that hussy later.' Tsunade thought to herself as her teeth pressed against each other and her hands clenched into fists, trying to calm herself.
In the Participants' booth;
"Thank you, Naruto." Yugito said to Naruto as he sat Samui down near her. She said it instead of Samui, who was too embarrassed to say anything about what had just happened and the number of eyes on her.
"No problem, Yugito. A friend of yours is also a friend of mine." Naruto replied with a smile before leaving and walking towards Anko, who was smiling widely. Updates are released by 𝓷𝓸𝓿𝓮𝓵~𝕗𝕚𝕣𝕖~𝙣𝙚𝙩
As soon as Naruto left, Yugito and Mabui turned with cheeky smiles towards Samui, who wanted to be anywhere but here.
"Did you enjoy Naruto carrying you, Samui?" Yugito asked with a teasing tone.
"No, I didn't. Leave me alone." Samui said with a flustered tone
"Naruto and Samui sitting in a tree, K-I-S-S-I-N-G." Mabui sang teasingly, making Samui's face flush red before covering it with her hands, making her teammates laugh
'You should stake a claim on the cute guy, Yugito. You can't let your teammate beat you to him.' Matatabi said to Yugito, making her flustered and embarrassed.
'Can you stop that, Matatabi? Naruto is from another village, someone whom I might never see again. And if I meet him again, it may be in a hostile setting, considering the relations between our villages.' Yugito said, trying to compose herself before anyone noticed.
'Do what you want, kitten. But remember, you might never find a boy near your age who would treat you nicely like that boy, Naruto, ever again.' Matatabi said
'You didn't have to rub it in like that, Matatabi.' Yugito replied as her mood darkened. Aside from the Raikage, her team, and Bee-sensei, there isn't anyone else who wishes to associate with her. And the only other one who treated her with decency was from another village.
She let out a sigh with a sliver of hope that the future holds something brighter.
A bit away from Yugito and her teammates, Anko gave Naruto a high five as he reached her.
"Great match, Naruto." Anko said with a wide smile
"Thanks, Anko." Naruto replied.
Anko didn't comment on what happened between Naruto and Samui after the match, as she knew that Naruto is young and dense to tease about the topic. She was also glad that that happened in front of Tsunade so that she could be taken off Anko's back for what happened at the end of the first phase of the exams.
"Can Masaru of Kiri and Anko of Konoha come down to the arena grounds for the second match?" Isamu called.
"Good luck and take care, Anko." Naruto said with a hidden undertone of worry as He watched Anko leave the booth
Anko gave him a confident grin and a thumbs up before disappearing down the steps.
A few moments later, in the middle of the arena;
Anko stood against her opponent as she studied him and his attire. He mostly wore dark blue clothing with a blade hanging at his side. What stood out was that most of his body was covered with bandages that even covered half of his face, with only his dark eyes, headband, and hair visible.
'Are bandages a part of the uniform in Kiri?' Anko thought to herself as she remembered that her opponent's teammates also wore bandages.
"Are you both ready?" Isamu asked, to which he got a nod of confirmation from both genin.
"Second match of the finals. Hajime." Isamu announced
With that, the Kiri genin pulled out his blade and rushed towards Anko, who met his strike with a Kunai that threw sparks upon contact with the blade.
Anko's expression darkened slightly after spotting a dark liquid coating the Kiri genin's blade.
Poison. Anko could identify it by the color and smell.
"I have been waiting for too long. I want to see you bleed." Masaru declared with an unhinged tone.
