"That’s what you said."
Asher Land advanced with retreat, continuing to whisper shameless things in her ear. Sophie Smith truly didn’t expect he had the potential to become a jokester.
She secretly reached out to cover her ears, but he noticed it sharply.
"Asher Land, let’s call it a night, alright?" Her tone had a hint of pleading.
And so, the whole night, Sophie Smith listened to Big Boss Land whispering ambiguous words in her ear.
In the morning, Asher Land called her several times to wake her up, but she didn’t respond. He didn’t insist but went downstairs and instructed Nanny Garcia to prepare a nutritious breakfast for her.
"Make sure to remind her to eat when she wakes up," Asher Land said to Nanny Garcia.
"Don’t worry, young master, I will," she replied.
Having said that, Asher Land drove to the company.
Sophie Smith woke up, glanced at the time, and felt awful—it was almost twelve o’clock!
"Oh dear, Miss Smith, you finally woke up." Nanny Garcia opened the door and couldn’t help but chuckle at the scene.
Sophie Smith hid under the covers, with only her head exposed, like a lazy little cat, then sniffed a bit.
"Do you want to eat something? Shall I ask the kitchen to prepare something and bring it up?"
The breakfast the young master instructed in the morning had already gone cold. Seeing Sophie Smith sleep so soundly, she didn’t have the heart to wake her.
"The young master is really something, no restraint at all." Nanny Garcia couldn’t help but furrow her brows at Sophie’s appearance, "Women are different from men, right? Men have good stamina, but women..."
Of course, Sophie Smith understood the implication in her words and couldn’t help but blush.
"Nanny Garcia, you’ve got it wrong, he didn’t do anything to me last night."
"Miss Smith, there’s no need to cover it up. We’re all adults; it’s okay to say these things. If you’re embarrassed, I can tell the young master when he returns from work!"
"Nanny Garcia, really, he didn’t do anything to me."
She tried hard to exonerate Asher Land. If this matter spread around the Land Family, how embarrassing would it be for her!
Nanny Garcia didn’t believe Sophie Smith. If the young master wasn’t frustrated, Miss Smith wouldn’t be unable to get out of bed until noon, would she?
To show she was telling the truth, Sophie Smith leapt out of bed, demonstrating an energetic appearance. She bounced around the room, causing Nanny Garcia to be a bit overwhelmed.
"Oh dear, Miss Smith, take a break and go downstairs to eat something. You have to replenish your energy during the day to handle the young master at night."
Sophie Smith maintained a forced smile at the corner of her mouth, pretending to hear nothing. After getting dressed, she headed downstairs.
According to Nanny Garcia, Asher Land probably went out around eight in the morning. She seriously suspected he was made of steel, how could he have such good stamina and energy?
"Nanny Garcia, where’s Irene?" Sophie Smith looked around but didn’t see Irene Morton’s figure.
"Miss Irene went out early; she took the young master’s car. Who knows where they went."
"Oh," Sophie Smith responded lightly. Where could Irene have gone? She grew up in Europe, and aside from Asher Land in Eastern City, she probably didn’t have many acquaintances.
"Miss Smith, there’s no need to worry about Miss Irene," Nanny Garcia seemed to notice Sophie’s concern, "With the young master around, Miss Irene won’t get into trouble."
Sophie Smith didn’t respond. Yes, with Asher Land there, Irene would certainly be safe.
After all, she’s so important in his heart.
