Asher Land brought her back to the Land Family villa. He was quite a gentleman, spending the night quietly holding her, without making any inappropriate moves.
"Wake up," he said gently in her ear.
Sophie Smith pouted and let out a dissatisfied hum. She was truly not a morning person.
Asher Land coaxed and cajoled in her ear until he finally got her up.
He swore to the heavens that he really didn’t do anything to her last night.
She followed behind Asher Land, and the two of them went downstairs together.
"This bad habit of not liking breakfast needs to be changed, you know?" Every time she falls asleep, she loses track of time, and long-term, it’s not good for her health.
Sophie might still not be fully awake, so she didn’t respond to him.
"Did you hear what I said?"
"What did I say?" he asked like a teacher questioning a student.
Asher Land shook his head helplessly. This woman, it turned out, was quite a scatterbrain.
"By the way, Asher Land..."
"Did you forget about our gentleman’s agreement? One of the terms is that you must call me ’darling’ ten times a day."
Ten times? Sophie was embarrassed. Why did it feel like one time might cost her life?
Seeing her hesitate, he looked somewhat displeased.
"If you don’t abide by the agreement terms, then I might just break the contract."
To be honest, he’d rather she didn’t comply; hearing ’darling’ a hundred times was not as good as spending a moment in love with her.
"Darling," Sophie quickly and quietly muttered.
Asher Land had been distracted just then, and by the time he realized it, he couldn’t recall the feeling of her saying it.
"That was too soft, I didn’t hear it."
Sophie paused, noticing that the nearby servants had walked away, so she raised her voice a little.
The servants, who were initially busy and walking away, turned back in surprise upon hearing the word "darling," looking at Sophie.
Apart from Asher Land, there was no one else around Sophie, and she wasn’t on the phone either.

The servants all stood there, dumbfounded, waiting expectantly to see what would happen next.
"You’ve only said it twice so far, now I want to hear it a third time."
"Can’t we wait a bit longer?"
"No." He simply wanted to prove something in front of these servants.
Everyone’s eyes were focused on Sophie’s face, and she had already silently cursed Asher Land hundreds of times in her heart.
"Darling, let’s go have breakfast together." Sophie gritted her teeth and said the words.
Asher Land smiled contentedly, wrapped an arm around her waist, and walked toward the dining room.
"Goodness, has Miss Smith changed? She’s actually calling the young master ’darling’?" After they walked away, a few gossip-loving maids gathered to whisper.
"What’s so strange? Maybe they’re in the middle of a passionate phase right now."

Sophie glanced around, seeing no one near the dining room, and decided to finish saying the remaining ’darling’ as if completing a task.
She composed herself and launched into her ’offensive’ mode.
"Darling, I want some warm milk."
"Darling, could you pass me a piece of toast?"
"Darling, I still need a spoon."
