"Sophie, I’ve noticed you’ve been acting strange lately. Is there something you’re hiding from me?"
He scrutinized her suspiciously. Before, no matter when he wanted her, even if she was a bit reluctant, at the very least, she would give in. Why is it that recently, even when he cajoles her patiently, she ignores him?
"If you keep making me wait, I might get sick from holding it in." His large hand slid down her cheek, landing a kiss on her face.
Sophie didn’t know how to explain it to him. Several times she felt the urge to tell him she was pregnant, but every time the words reached her mouth, she couldn’t say them. She didn’t know if Asher Land would accept this child. She figured she still needed to test him a little more.
"If you’re afraid of getting sick, you can find another woman. I don’t mind," she said, trying to sound casual.
Asher Land’s mouth twitched, and his large hand pinched her chest firmly.
"It hurts..." Sophie glared at him, removing his hand.
"Don’t say things like that to me again; it’ll make me angry." He looked at her seriously, his face tense. It was clear he was displeased with her words.
"Alright, alright, I won’t say it next time, okay?" She pulled gently at his arm, her voice soft and conciliatory.
"Is that it?" Clearly, he wasn’t satisfied with her attitude of admitting fault.
Sophie felt a bit helpless, but she took the initiative to kiss his lips.
Only then did Asher Land smile with satisfaction.
Sophie pulled away from his lips when she felt it was enough.
Whenever this happened, Asher Land felt like he was hit over the head with a club; she was fine, but him?
His lower half was reacting, alright?
He tightly confined her body in his arms, his chest heaving violently.
She wasn’t wearing a bra; the softness of her chest pressed against his skin. For some reason, his body shivered as if a hot rush ran through it.
Yet she wouldn’t let him touch her.
"Why haven’t you been wearing a bra lately?" His voice was a bit hoarse. Was she deliberately trying to seduce him?
"It’s uncomfortable, so, so I stopped wearing one." Actually, it was because she was possibly pregnant, and her breasts were a bit swollen, so she simply stopped wearing one.
He undid her nightgown and his tongue deftly took her tender bud into his mouth.
She moaned softly, unable to speak from Asher Land’s sudden action. She held his head, her body going a bit limp.
It was a long while before he stopped his attentions towards her.
He gave a wicked smile, licking his lips as if he’d tasted something delicious, showing a look of wanting more.
Sophie was both embarrassed and annoyed, tightening her clothes with a flush on her face.
Fine, she had to admit, under usual circumstances, she would definitely give herself to him. Although she was shy, Asher Land was truly masterful in such matters, and she simply couldn’t match him. ᴛʜɪs ᴄʜᴀᴘᴛᴇʀ ɪs ᴜᴘᴅᴀᴛᴇ ʙʏ 𝓷𝓸𝓿𝓮𝓵•𝑓𝑖𝑟𝑒•𝙣𝙚𝙩
"Had enough fun?" Sophie said rather helplessly. "If you have, let’s go down and eat, or the servants will start gossiping again."
Lately, they’d been spending a lot of time in their room, and the servants had noticed. They probably thought they were doing something that made people’s faces flush every day!
"You go down first; I’ll join you in a bit." After Asher Land spoke, he walked towards the bathroom, and Sophie, without further thought, headed downstairs first.
He punched the wall in frustration, cast a glance down at himself, then turned on the shower.
