He glanced back at Sophie Smith sleeping peacefully, her stubbornness gone in her dreams, looking much gentler. Her beauty was remarkable to him.
Usually, she treated him with full resistance. He didn’t understand why all women would flock to him, yet she seemed indifferent? Was he, Asher Land, indeed so insignificant in her eyes?
"Edward! Edward!" She kept calling a name in her sleep.
Asher Land’s face gradually turned unpleasant. Who exactly was this name she called out? Could it be the man she liked?

He walked out of the bedroom and went to the study, picked up the phone on the desk and dialed.
"Help me investigate a man named Edward Harrison," he commanded Robert Williams on the other end, in a low voice.

Asher Land coldly eyed the documents on the desk. As expected, she was indeed quite close to the man named Edward Harrison.
The two had attended the same school since childhood and had a very good relationship, and Edward was definitely the man she liked.
Thinking more and becoming increasingly angry, Asher Land irritably tossed the documents in his hand onto the ground.
"Oh, who pissed you off?" Luke Land picked up the documents from the ground one by one, and upon seeing Sophie Smith’s photos, his eyes gleamed with realization.
"Isn’t that the woman you always talk about? What, did she make you angry?"
"Who told you to chatter here?" Asher Land strode forward, snatching all the documents from Luke’s hands.
"Women are just for fun. If they annoy you, just dump them, why give yourself a hard time?" Luke Land had already figured out his younger brother’s temper. He sat on the sofa, idly flipping through a financial magazine, which included an exclusive interview with Asher Land.
"Look, this magazine is really impressive, portraying you as a single-focused, affluent man. If they knew about your messy private life..."
"Have you said enough?" Asher Land’s patience had long worn thin, "What exactly is your purpose in staying in Eastern City? Once you’ve had your fun, get out!"
"Ah... ah..." Luke Land shook his head, "I’m not here for fun. To be honest with you, the reason Father sent me here is simply to keep an eye on you."
"Your wings have grown strong, Father can’t rest easy. You know how Father is; he wants everything under control. If you don’t follow his instructions, I’m afraid..."
