Sophie Smith returned to the apartment somewhat exhausted. She put down what she was holding, and just as she stepped into the living room, she saw Asher Land sitting on the sofa in a casual gray outfit, watching her with a meaningful gaze.
"I heard you filmed a kissing scene with Wyatt Sterling today?" He sat on the sofa, leisurely crossing his long legs, and asked with an indifferent expression.
"How do you know?" She furrowed her brows and couldn’t help but question.
"You don’t need to worry about that. What you need to know is that I see your every move, so..."
So what’s strange about him knowing she filmed a kissing scene with Wyatt Sterling? Furthermore, it seems like he should be the one to get angry, yet why does it seem like she’s the one on the verge of exploding?
"Asher Land! Are you monitoring me?"
"So what if I am? He casually pulled her into his arms.
In her heart, Asher Land was like a moody man. Sophie felt that in front of him, she could only swallow her anger, knowing full well his methods.
"I’m tired, I want to take a bath." She didn’t want to entangle with him on this topic; she removed the large hand restraining her waist, stood up, and walked towards the bathroom, wanting nothing more than to have a good bath and get some sleep.
"Since you’re tired, why don’t I do it for you?"
"What?" Sophie thought she misheard, but before she could react, he lifted her up horizontally and locked the bathroom door.
"Asher Land, I don’t want this, put me down!"
"Didn’t you say you were tired? I’m just being kind."
Kind my foot, he clearly had ulterior motives, and Sophie couldn’t help but grumble inwardly.
His large hand restlessly slid over her fair neck, skillfully undoing the buttons of her shirt. Sophie was still trying hard to resist, but for Asher Land, her resistance was insignificant.
"Your body is truly beautiful," Asher couldn’t help but exclaim.
"I just want to take a quiet bath," Sophie pleaded uneasily.
"I didn’t say I was going to do anything to you!" He looked aggrieved, did he appear that desperate?
Although, deep down, he did have a strong desire for a romantic bath with her.
"I have hands and feet; I don’t need your help!" She was still resisting his touch on her body.
He was even more skilled at undressing her than she was herself. In no time, her clothes were scattered on the floor, and his strong arms lifted her into the bathtub. The warm water surrounded her skin, making her whole being relax.
Fatigue washed over her, and she closed her eyes, enjoying this rare moment.
Asher Land’s hands gently massaged her shoulders. Initially, Sophie wanted to refuse, but her whole body’s exhaustion made her somewhat powerless, leaving her at his mercy.
Despite the intense desire within him, seeing that she really was tired, he was reluctant to disturb her.
His large hands meticulously massaged every inch of her skin, alleviating her physical fatigue to some extent.
In the end, the woman actually fell asleep. Asher Land shook his head helplessly, not wanting to wake her. Instead, he lifted her, dried her body with a towel, and then dressed her in clean pajamas.
Such a side of Asher Land was truly rare; he had to admit that Sophie’s presence was gradually changing him.
He had told her not to take herself too seriously, that she wasn’t the only one for him.
But deep down, she had long carved out her own place in his heart.
