"Julia, is there something wrong?" Sophie asked weakly.
Julia said the director decided to shoot an additional night scene tonight and told her to hurry to the set.
"Stop the car, I want to get off."
"What’s going on?" Asher ignored Sophie, thinking she was just being temperamental.
"I need to go to the set."
"I’ll take you," Asher said without hesitation.
"No." Sophie refused decisively. However, seeing Asher’s expression, she worried he’d think she was just being difficult, so she felt the need to explain.
"It’s getting late. If you take me there, the crew will start gossiping, and I’m afraid it will affect my mood for filming."
Asher thought for a moment; he should be considerate of her. Although she often appeared strong in front of him, he could see that hint of vulnerability deep inside her. Since being with him, she had indeed endured many rumors, which could affect her emotional state.
He had no choice but to pull the car over and let her leave.
Sophie randomly hailed a taxi by the roadside and rushed to the set.
"Sophie, you’re here!" Julia stepped forward and quickly took her bag.
She went to the makeup room and finished her makeup, and Wyatt was there too.
"Have a cup of coffee to wake up." He walked over, offering a cup of coffee.
"Is President Land not coming this time?" Wyatt suddenly asked.
Sophie lowered her head, feeling a bit awkward, and didn’t speak for quite a while.
"I don’t mean anything else; it’s just that there’s a kiss scene tonight. Without him here, we might perform more naturally, right? At least, not like last time."
"Oh,..." Sophie felt flustered, "Hopefully, hopefully, it will be more natural."
However, she already felt quite unnatural.
Under the night sky, stars twinkled.
Wyatt stood tall in a long robe amidst the ink-black night, handsome and poised. Sophie trotted toward him, following the script that required her to initiate a kiss with Wyatt.
Her mood inexplicably tensed, although she constantly reminded herself she was a professional actress, Wyatt still managed to distract her.
The thought of kissing an unfamiliar man made her blush and her heart race.
Wyatt was a head taller than her, so she tried hard to stand on tiptoe, gently pecking his lips.
Sophie intended to stop there, but Wyatt suddenly pulled her in, responding to her, turning her from the initiator to the passive participant. Instinctively, she wanted to push him away, but he held her firmly.
What on earth is going on? This kiss had stirred up all sorts of confusion inside her.
The director’s voice pulled Sophie back to reality, hurriedly extracting herself from Wyatt’s embrace.
"That was quite good," Wyatt generously ’praised’.
"Don’t be modest. I could already tell."
"Why did you respond to me just now? According to the script, you’re only passive; you don’t actually want to kiss me," Sophie said, somewhat angrily.
"With lips as sweet as yours, any man would find it hard to resist." Wyatt whispered softly in her ear, "Every nerve in my body feels like it’s being teased by you. What should I do about it?"
"I... I’m not talking to you anymore. The scene’s over; I should be heading back!"
He was clearly teasing her. How could he do this? Did she look easy to bully?
Watching Sophie hurriedly flee, a slight smile curved on Wyatt’s lips.
