Sera barely dodged a devastating swipe, rolling to the side as her nature magic surged around her. She thrust her hands forward, roots shooting from the ground, trying to ensnare Rynx's legs. But the beast tore through them with ease.
"You'll have to do better than that!" Rynx snarled, his teeth gleaming.
Doran stepped in, Moltenheart crackling with energy. He swung downward with a mighty roar. The hammer met Rynx's reinforced claws, sending shockwaves rippling through the chamber. The force nearly sent Doran flying, but he held firm, gritting his teeth.
Sylra, standing back, played a sharp note on her flute. Dirge of Dread echoed through the air, slowing Rynx's movements. Orin seized the moment, dashing in with his spear glowing.
"Metal Storm!"
Sharp metallic shards materialized in the air and spiraled toward Rynx. He roared in pain as they slashed across his hide. The beast staggered, but the dark energy surrounding him flared up once more.
"You pests… I will tear you apart!"
His aura darkened, tendrils of shadow creeping toward the battlefield. The fight was far from over.

Darek slammed his sword into the ground, roots erupting upward, creating a protective barrier against the incoming shadow serpents. Lila followed up with a dual-elemental attack, water and fire clashing together in a violent explosion, burning through the illusions.
Yet Iyvl remained unfazed. She raised a hand, the air distorting as a wave of energy pulsed outward. Junith, ever the shield of her team, spun her polearm, deflecting the blast just in time. The force still pushed her back, but she stood firm.
"Illusions won't save you," Junith declared.
Iyvl chuckled. "Won't they?"
A mist spread across the battlefield, distorting reality itself. Lila suddenly found herself surrounded—Junith and Darek had vanished. Shadows whispered in her ears, taunting her, confusing her.
But she clenched her fist.
